Brynn Thayer (Blue Jasmine, Suits, Castle, Ray Donovan, How to Get Away With Murder, Ringer, Monk, Diagnosis Murder, Moonlighting, and more!). Her first appearance at Leanne, Matlock's daughter. Thayer is in 37 episodes total, all but one were as this character, but just a few episodes before this, 6.08, 'The Suspect,' she played a different character (who was trying to seduce Matlock, I didn't love that choice).

Kristoffer Tabori- now primarily a voice actor from video games like Star Wars, he was also in shows like Sliders, Seaquest DSV, Murder She Wrote, Quantum Leap, 21 Jump Street (TV), The Twilight Zone (1980s), Trapper John MD, and Designing Women.

Don Knotts also guest-stars in the episode. He's on 17 episodes of Matlock. (The Andy Griffith Show, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Three's Company, Pleasantville, Newhart, Search for Tomorrow)

Daniel Roebuck -(a character actor who has been n almost 300 titles, including The Fugitive, US Marshals, 9-1-1, Jane the Virgin, Agents of Shield, Criminal Minds, CSI/CSI NY/CSI MIami, Bones, Castle, NCIS, Monk, Final Destination, etc. ) He's in 55 episodes total playing several different characters. He plays a prosecutor in this one, but in season 7 opener (the episodes directly after this, and from seasons 7-9, he plays Cliff).

Thayer becomes a main character from this episode until the end of season 8. Thayer is replacing Nancy Stafford, who, like nearly all the women on this show, sadly depart with no on-screen goodbye or mention again after this two-parter.

This is also the last time Julie Sommars is in the show as a main character-- she, like Nancy, just disappears (though Julie is brought back for a single episode in season 9).
