Remember that every actor who signs on to this new Harry Potter show is not doing it for love of art or a series of crappy children’s books, they are doing it for money. They are willingly getting into bed with a woman who has chosen to attack one of the most vulnerable groups in our society and they are standing by her to get rich.
There is no separating content from the creator in this instance. Watching the show, gives her power, working on the show gives her power, and we have all seen what she does with her platform.
Stop the hate. Boycott Harry Potter

The Harry Potter TV series is already living up to its promise to be a truly faithful book adaptation.
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Daniel Rigby was seen on the set of the upcoming HBO show in Hertfordshire. Rigby was cast as the titular character's adopted father, Vernon Dursley, who was played by the late Richard Griffiths in the movies, alongside Bel Powley, who'll play Petunia Dursley, whom Fiona Shaw portrayed in the films.
In photos from the scene, Vernon was sharply dressed in a suit and tie and held a pastry in his hand, as a small man in a violet cloak appears to fall over himself right in front of Vernon.
The scene is straight out of the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the first of J.K. Rowling's seven books, where Vernon runs into an older man who is described as wearing a violet cloak.

Though Vernon is thrown off by the sudden run-in, the man is unfazed, as he informs Vernon of the happy news that Voldemort has finally been defeated, which even the Muggles should be celebrating. That comment, of course, leaves Vernon totally confused, but sets the stage for the story that will unfold. In the bakery, Vernon also heard similarly confusing whispers that mentioned "Harry" and "Potter," per the book.
"100% book accurate!" one fan page praised in a post on X.
That same fanpage reported that Manchester-born actor Jon Furlong is who was on set as Dedalus Diggle, a.k.a. the wizard who throws off Vernon's day.
Rigby's casting was announced in June, along with that of Molly Weasley, Draco and Lucius Malfoy, who will be played by Katherine Parkinson, Lox Pratt and Johnny Flynn, respectively.
"Thrilled to be playing the world’s worst muggle, Uncle Vernon," Rigby, 42, wrote in a post on Instagram following the announcement.

Production began on the series in July, and HBO celebrated with the first picture of Dominic McLaughlin, who has inherited the role from Daniel Radcliffe, in costume as the titular wizard. The network also shared a photo of Nick Frost in his full get-up as Hagrid, who was originally played by the late Robbie Coltrane.
Since then, fans have been treated to quite a few glances at what's to come thanks to photos from various shoot days throughout England.
On Aug. 18, McLaughlin and Frost were seen filming in London, with Frost in full costume towering over the youngster. Fans suspected that the pair were filming an iconic scene from the first book, when Hagrid brings Harry to Diagon Alley after rescuing him from the Dursleys' house.
A few days later, fans got their first look at the full Weasley family, as Parkinson made her debut as Molly Weasley (originated by Julie Walters) and filmed with her gaggle of ginger kids at London's King's Cross Station.
The group was presumably filming the first day of school at Hogwarts, when the students caught the train from Platform 9 ¾.

Along with Parkinson as Molly, Ron, who will be played by Alastair Stout, Ginny, who will be played by Gracie Cochrane and twins Fred and George, who will be played by Tristan and Gabriel Harland, were all seen on set, too.
Percy, who Ruari Spooner was cast to play, was the only Weasley sibling missing.
HBO's Harry Potter series is slated to premiere in 2027.
Just rewatched the Flowers S1 finale. I cried a lot, as I expected. I love how Mrs Flowers didn't want to answer Mr Flowers phone call at the start, but at the end she came round. I love the contrast, anyone who has seen it knew she would but I love the parallel.
A little embarrassed to admit I didn't completely get the metaphor between Mrs flowers being caught in between the dog called Maurice and the older divorcee, but I do. She's so fed up with Maurice she's tempted to divorce him and wonders what divorced life would look like, but she can't stop thinking about Maurice, even though she's sick to death of him, the dog even shits and eats it, and it reminds Deborah of Maurice's breakdown at the restaurant. But she's not entirely where the divorcee is at either.
I wish I could have re-watched all of the episodes closer together, so I could truly appreciate the parallels. Deborah is desperate for male attention, mostly it's just to make Maurice jealous. But she willingly slept with Barry in a previous episode. However, when a different man this episode orders her a drink, she doesn't react other than emotionless surprise.
I love the character studies. I sort of wish Will Sharpe himself would do an AMA on twitter so I could ask the mastermind of this amazing TV shows what the characters thought and felt, even though I'd probably look like a bit of a twat since I think really, it's obvious and I'm just slow.
Frustrating though how I tried to Google why lighting bolt victims thrash around like how Amy did, but I got nowhere. I think I just didn't research hard enough though, I must have been too vague.
I don't recommend Flowers for anyone who's struggling with suicidal thoughts, I always make sure to make whoever I recommend aware. Truthfully, I don't think I would have been able to watch it last week. But I'm glad I can now.
Forgot about some of the jokes and one of the heartfelt scenes. Laughed, and cried. Every one involved in that show acted wonderfully, it all felt very real. I will always admire how it feels like watching real people, not just characters. When I move, I will watch the behind the scenes content of this beautiful, touching programme.
I love this show so much. It's really stuck with me ever since I found out about it, and it always will. Perfect to round off my birthday!

TL;DR – While filled with fascinating concepts, it becomes a film that is less than the sum of its parts.
