It is a version of a pinched crown #porkpie - hat aficionados know this as “the Chicago” - almost always medium to dark brown, never or very rarely black, but only if you insist. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍GLASSES: @ralphlauren ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍SUIT: A finally broken in bespoke number by @leonardlogsdail (made 24 years ago!). Len found some aged 14+ounce W. Bill material made in the original and true #PrinceofWalesCheck (as the Prince/Duke designed it: burgundy, cream, bright blue). I might add, the suit can stand on its own at this point. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍SHIRT: @turnbull_asser ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍TIE: A deep burgundy silk knit number by @drakesdiary of London and I guess now of NYC too. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍BUTTONIERE: miniature red silk carnation by @asuitablewardrobe ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍SHOES: I figured if Doug Fairbanks, Jr. can wear croc tassel loafers then I can at least rage against convention and wear my #crocodileslipons. By @mezlanshoes on Madison Avenue (not bespoke). ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖📍FINAL NOTES: There it is, an ensemble many years in the making. Bespoke suits are a lifetime investment, they neither look old or new but are timeless.
