#dandandan

This was asked so long ago. Sorry for taking so long to answer.

I watched just the first season of Dandandan before I lost my Netflix access. I will try to watch more at some point.

My general thoughts are that it's generally fun, it's silly and kinda unserious but the way it handles friendship and a budding crush were sweet in season 1.

Also the hot grandma is just why,

I like the two leads, I even like a lot of the supporting cast.

But the creepy horny and objectification makes me lose interest at times. There's not point to those, they add nothing to the story.

From the absurdity of Shin Godzilla!Nessie in Dandadan to the traumatized kids who have never been loved and don't know how to articulate the feelings they're experiencing in Kemono Jihen to my favorite drunken character sacrificing his life in exchange for his little brother's awakening. It was a rollercoaster ride.

It only took me three years to get this far in AYAKA. My turtle pace when it comes to watching stuff meant distribution licenses in legal platform tend to expire before I could finish a single show. *side eyes AKUDAMA DRIVE*
