pathetic rui YOURE SO RIGHT. and torpe getting bolder YES. i think torpe would like. lean up and press a kiss to dancho's cheek stood on his tiptoes and pulling back to give him yhe warmest softest smile snd thank him for something. and then dancho juat has to nod and quickly turn away to lock himself in a cupboard and gay scream into his hands shjksjdk
It took me way too long to digitize this and even then it half sucks but oh my goodness gracious you’re so right. I was too lazy to draw the cupboard but whatever this works. Dantoru kissed its all okay…
imagining torpe pinning danchou to a loveseat (specifically a loveseat.. danchou is lanky i need him all over it) and kissing him absolutely breathless and when the moment passes he starts freaking out and pulling back and danchou is just on another plane of existence at that point… oughhhh…

Another Series in Famitsu Articles, This time from our main leads Ono Yuki and Nao Toyama, trying my best with google translate to summarize
1st Section
Starts off with them talking about finally reaching Estalucia and how it seems like a dream come true because it almost unrealistic that we would finally make it there
Then they go on to talk what it's like voicing Lyria and how she's become a character dear to the VA's heart.
They mention that Lyria's VA has a slightly lower pitch to Lyria compared to the eariler years which considering its been 12 years. Feels more like a natural progression than anything else.
Ono also mentions a time when he met up with Percival's VA and how Percival's VA at the beginning was a lot more youthful than it was now. It took several years of trial and error to get to where it is today.
Granblue records a lot, Toyama mentions that she records 3-4 times a month when it comes to Granblue which is a lot of voice lines especially over 12 years.
Just a quote from Nao Toyama about Lyria over the years it's google translate, but I think the point still gets across.
"While there is a unique in-depth depth, the feeling of "I want to know you even if I know the wide world" remains an element at the core of Lyria, and Lyria is the one who honestly expresses her emotions about various things. And the most important thing is not to get used to tragedy. I will never change my desire to play Lyria, who is purely close to someone's heart at any time and can honestly hurt her heart.
Of course, there are parts of her that are changing. When air travel first began, she was a heroine who could be protected, but before she knew it, she had changed to a heroine who could be protected, and she became strong.
The mention that while recording they have no idea when an arc ends or begins, they joke about the fact that they know that if Lyria begins to sing that arc is finally finished.
Another Note, is that for the most part Lyria's VA gets pretty much free reign in the direction of her voice.
2nd Section
They talk about Ono being picked for Gallanth's voice, their were many VA on the potential voice list, but the main reason they chose Ono was largely because it would make all the more special if Ono, the va for Gran voiced the dad
Gallanth's voice for Ono in the very bottom rung of his range so it gets tricky for him to sometimes voice Gallanth especially on days when his voice hurts
Gallanth is around his mid 40s, but since he entered Estalucia in his 30s, he's physically stuck there, so he's in his 30s basically.
If Gallanth is on the lower end of his range, Gran is on the upper end of his range
In fact, when the animation for Granblue was about to release, he honestly thought he was going to get recast because he had a string of failed auditions for roles similar to Gran.
Another Quote from Lyria's VA,
"From the time the anime was recorded, you were worried that your voice might be a little mature for Gran. But I think it's better for Gran-kun to be 16 years old and have a cute face, but personally, I'm the leader of the group who brings together so many fierce people, so I think it's better to convey strength and reliability from his voice."
He then goes on the talk seperate Lancelot and Gran's voice from each other especially on stages like Granfes where its certaintly possible they both could speak at the same time. The big difference is making sure that Gran's voice stays boyish while Lancelot has more maturity.
They talk about some other stuff like how they before reading the script they were about our main character's fates
But I think the last major thing to mention is that for Lyria's VA, she said that playing Astralia and Lyria was like listening to the angels and devils on her shoulder.
She wanted Astralis to sound like someone who is motherly and could make you believe that she would be the key to solving the conflict in Estalucia so that way when she finally reveled her true colors. You could get that sense of shock.
The make a couple of closing remarks, excited about the future of Granblue and its story especially with Ono Yuki theorizing about the role of the Moon will be in Granblue's story
Whenever I try working on my Granblue drafts. I always have to ask how much I let the captain's talk because they are a silent protagonist so for the most part, they are a vessel for the plot.
But on a writing level, it is established charactization that the Captain is not talkative person on any level. One of Gran's dislikes on GBFV is public speaking just to note.
As a character trait, it's interesting trait to have because the Captain are not people who are introverted, they are friendly, kind, and more than willing to engaging in fun if called for. But they don't use words to communicate often times you'll see characters read the Captain's face as a way to gauge their reaction to events or words. I remember Joel's SSR fate showing off this type of interaction pretty well.
This quiet nature to me is why they're able to connect so well with the loners in his crew like Eustace and Seox and the desire to not say a word if you don't feel like it. There has to have been times where a crewmate just forgets what the captain's voice sounds like sometimes because of how little they use it when communicating with others.
I bet outsiders look at the crew and think the captain is someone else because all they see is a quiet kid surrounded by older people who are talking even though they're probably all discussing plans together.
Does anyone else struggle with this trait of the Captain while writing? If you got thoughts, I'd like to hear them.
I hope the climax of Estalucia chapter is Danchou and Loki working with each other tag teaming the big bad guy ala Goku/Vegeta Naruto/Sasuke Wukong/Nezha.

Also you can really tell how Granblue's art style has changed with these arts because Djeeta looks almost the same, but has just lessen on the pastel colors
