We made a strobe spotlight out of a broken hanging file folder and then dangled it from a rope above her. After a week or so, I’m still on that natural sonic high….There’s much going on everyday in Toronto,I FINALLY got to meet @sonicgriot 1/3 of DJ trio @afriquelikeme! As our world is changing, first gen children of immigrants often struggle with an explanation of what it is they 'do' for a career (unless it's a doctor, lawyer, pharmacist, nurse or accountant.)
Next month I head back to the home branch I went to as a kid. I'll be at York Woods to kick off Digital Inclusion Week, I'll show/teach young people how I forayed into to underground music media. It's taken me 20 years!
As I expand my old blog platform, I'm showing the younger gen 'how to' to help them know where to go and how to get there sooner.
