Originally, Dancemania X9 had a slipcase onto it, but my copy didn't come with one. But, it's fine. This was the last of the mainline series that had the "X" onto it's name, until it became Dancemania 20.

Compared to X1, the series started to change. They started to add more trance music onto the series, as seen with the last couple tracks.

Also Me & My returns with my no. 1 favorite song from my no. 1 favorite album of theirs. Too bad they didn't have much song from that album into the series, but tbh they didn't much songs in the series. Mainly repeats of their 2 most popular songs, "Dub-I-Dub" and "Baby Boy".

We also have our share of songs that are exclusive to this compilation: Pinky's "Smashin Love," and Project One's "Stay With Me," both are by Evento Music from Italy (It's always their songs that never get released out of Dancemania, if not it's CX Publishing)

We also have some tracks that appeared in Dance Dance Revolution! DJ AC-DC's "Never Ending Story (Power Club Vocal Mix)" and 2 Unlimited's "Twilight Zone (R-C Extended Club Mix)"!

Honestly if u want a Dancemania mix that features both Eurodance, House, and Trance, I'd say this one is a good release! Honestly, the same would go for Dancemania X8 and 20 - 22

Dancemania X1 - X6 were notorious for having 3D lenticular inserts for their covers. X7 and X8, however didn't have them. Instead they came in transparent, colourful pastic slipcases. X9 came in a cardboard slipcase. X7 was the last of the mainline series to be released in the year 2000.

My story with X7 was this was one of the Dancemania albums that I have looking everywhere. Personally, just like X8, I wanted my copies to have the slipcases. I did find them once on eBay in an auction, but unfortunately I was outbid in the last second :(

That was until this month where I downloaded Mercari Japan and I found them there. Good thing about it was that shipping prices weren't as bad and I didn't even need a proxy site!

Besides the lovely album art, especially with the slipcase, the compilation is awesome! It features both well known europop tracks with some obscure ones as well. Some of these tracks haven't even released outside of this compilation, but that does go for a lot of Dancemania releases fjsnfn.

There are a lot of songs here that have featured in Dance Dance Revolution such as Ken-D's "The 7 Jump," which was in DDR 4th Mix and Scooch's "More Than I Needed To Know," which was on DDRMAX 2. There is also Ni-Ni's "Dabbi Doo," which featured on a similar arcade game called StepManiaX, where I first heard the song! :D

ZIPmania was a collab compilation series with Dancemania and the Japanese radio station "ZIP-FM 77.8". ZIPmania All Best Mix featured new artists in the series such as: Ricki Lee, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Pitbull, Avicii, Che'Nelle, Alexandra Stan, and more! Also some reoccuring artists such as Misa and E-Rotic!

Personally, it is my top fav album of the ZIPmania series! The song choices were solid and give me a lot of nostalgia (and I don't use that word lightly), also the amount of newer songs in the series beats the repeats by A LOT!!!

I've been wanting this CD for a long time and I couldn't find it anywhere. It took about a month to arrive here, but it was 100% worth it!!! It even came with the obi sleeve which I was surprised.

As of now, I have 3/4 CDs of the Dancemania Summers collection: Summers 2, Summers 3, and Summers 2001. I don't plan on getting the first one as to be honest, it one of my LEAST fav albums in the Dancemania series (I only liked one song from there).

While Summers 3 does feature latin and house tracks, it seems to be more focused on hip-hop and hip-hop-esque type of music. There is also some tracks that feel more appropriate for Dancemania Winters (ex. "Breathe" - The Prodigy, "Music : Response" - The Chemical Brothers). But overall I enjoy it!

Another thing! 2 tracks from here were added to the Dance Dance Revolution games: "Conga Feeling" - Vivian, & Gotcha (The Theme From Starsky & Hutch) - Andy G's Magic Disco Machine
