Reposting of old, experimental Rebecca fanart onto this acc don't mind me-🫣
"I don't like other people touching my things. And you're mine, aren't you, Danny?" (x)
Love Rebecca not being a ghost story, but like, not for a lack of trying on Danny's part
kara lane (off-west end mrs. danvers) on the biggest challenge for playing the role

my favorite thing about Pia Douwes as Mrs. Danvers is how well she conveys that Rebecca is still very much with Danny, how real she is to her, how Danny seems to be looking past the present and into the past, straining to catch a fleeting glimpse of Rebecca or a whisper of a voice. there are moments, especially when she sings "Nein, man sieht sie nicht/Doch ich spür, sie ist hier und lebt noch" and "Wenn der Abend beginnt, singt der Wind," that it seems she really does perceive her, turning her head to listen or casting her eyes about. it's so good and Pia seems to have *such* a good grasp on this character.
Danbecca inspired by @gayvillainera amazing fic and the art of @defyinmavity ♥️
“Promise me you will never cut your hair, Danny. The thought does upset me so,” abruptly uttered Rebecca; her wide green eyes stern, familiarly unbending. Alike the sea, Mrs. Danvers mused, ancient and young all at once. “I promise, darling girl. I promise.”
