I was in elementary school when X-Files aired. But I grew up in Asia, so it took couple of years to reach my country. I used to watch X-Files with subtitles and I really had a hard time understanding the plot. At the time, my tiger mom forbid me to watch TV so late, so I had to sneak in the dark living room and secretly tapped each episodes. I recently just discovered it again on Amazon. I was planning to rewatch only the episodes that were confusing to me then, but I ended up watching the entire series all over again! To me, Agent Scully is a feminist icon who grew up with me throughout the 90s. She is not only a glass ceiling breaker, but also a divine revelation to me. She assured me I can be at my best and still deserve a man’s love. Thank you! ❤️
