like hes just generally annoying and shitty at first, and despite the fact that he’s so incredibly lonely, he won’t change because what’s the point if even after changing you’ll never know if its real? he uses his ability to get people to spend time with him despite knowing they won’t like him, but he doesn’t like sex for that reason. he just wants people to genuinely care about him, but instead of putting in the work he kidnaps people and threatens them, and when he’s finally on the other side of his power he feels disgusted at the idea of it, while still believing that he should have it and that he’s right to use it against people. i genuinely don’t think he’d have gone so far if joan hadn’t given up on him and if everyone stopped assigning morality to the powers he didn’t choose (as much as i love her, especially chloe at first.) he’s just so. augh<33333333
