Regarding Who Ship Names
A minor suggestion for my fellow Whojoshis regarding the ship names for Keith/Pete and John/Roger. Right now the ones that people seem to use are "Moonshend" and "Daltwistle." The ship names Towntwistle and Towntrey establish that the Town from Townshend is the syllable used for ship portmanteaus, and we know from Towntrey and Moontrey that the trey from Daltrey is the syllable used for ship portmanteaus. So, I think we should call the Keith/Pete ship Moontown and the John/Roger ship Twistletrey. Also, these just sound better. I mean, c'mon, Moontown is so whimsical-sounding. Just what these Brits with aggressively twee names deserve.
If you want to see more of my pedantry in-depth thoughts on surname portmanteaus you can see my An Abridged Treatise on Inter-Wilburys Ship Names. Basically I like having the ship names consist of pieces of a sort of "key phrase" or "greater unit" so that combinations of two-, three-, four-, and so on, people can have intuitive names. With the proposed names of Moontown and Twistletrey, every Who ship name will derive from a greater unit of moontowntwistletrey, and so it'll be easy and intuitive to figure out how to refer to a three-person combination as well. (E.g. Keith/John/Roger would just cut the "town" so you get Moontwistletrey.) For all four you'd of course just call it Polywho or Wholicule.
To make a long story short, if you're scrolling my blog looking for Who ship content, I'm going to be using Moontown and Twistletrey from here on out.
What if regardless of size, John PREFERRED being the small spoon? What if????
What the hell is this give me one valid reason to deliberately choose to sing the harmony with your bassist and he ended up looking at the guitarist in guilt?!
