DALLYPOP FANKID FACTS!

I honestly rarely talk bout Mimosa, and obviously Teddy, so I'll give the lil lore I've made so far, and just who/how they are as characters! Sorry if some things don't make sense I was working on this all day.

Lore-

It's kinda related to another fic that I was writing (which I probably will never finish, but who knows.) Anyway, it's not the 60s anymore, it's 1972! Dally and Soda are living in the rural land of Bixby, Oklahoma. Less people, less trouble. Here we have a 23 yo Sodapop and a 24 yo Dallas. How they get by is beyond anyone's comprehension but their own. Life's a tad lonely the two soon realize. It differs from what was back in Tulsa. The country a stark contrast to the city. With such lonesome comes the need for companionship that isn't just their own. The thing about the country is that neighbors nearby turn-up knowing just about everyone, and it isn't to long before both boys end up meeting those known as the Collins's and the McCormick's. As imaged Sodapop turns out to adore the kids just as much as Dallas begins to "loathe" them. Mason to much like Darry, Tex to much like Soda and Pony combined, Johnny I mean the name... and the pranks, and Jamie... she isn't so bad, but her sarcasm feels like listening to Steve talk. It sorta feels like Tulsa just won't leave him and Soda alone. [Uhhh how they get to adopting is still in the works, but they do.] So yeah, what do you know. That's when they set their eyes on Mimosa and Teddy. Well those weren't their names originally. They never even seemed to have had any real ones to begin with. And in a weird way it was like the world was doing everything to clash both pairs together. At first Soda saw how much Mimosa looked like his mother, housed the personality of his father, yet still her own person. One was enough the two had agreed, but when it came to finding out Mimosa and Teddy were a packaged deal there was no chance in hell Soda could say no. Not when he knew what it felt like all those years ago. To separate family was something Soda couldn't do, so maybe Dallas just agreed because of that. Definitely not because when he saw Teddy did he see himself. Not because of those sharp eyes that held things beyond their years, not because of those similar sharp teeth that were seen more as a threat than a unique feature, or those ears Mimosa had, sharp as a humans could be and perked whenever noise picked up, or grew to close, or to far. That wasn't it is what Dallas told himself. So they ended up with two kids. A Winston and a Curtis. With equally weird names as their Papa, Soda.

Mimosa Facts-

• Adopted at 10, never talks about what happened before she was adopted. Tbh she doesn't really know what happened most times if you ask her.

• Lives off Rootbear floats. Teddy finds them repulsive.

• She collects any western books she can find, and shares them with Tex whenever he needs to do a book report.

• I'm still debating if I want Tex to be Mimosa's crush, or if I want Johnny to be. Anyway yeah, I definitely see her crushing on Tex or Johnny big time.

• She has a palomino American Saddlebred, which are good for just showing. Her name's Mayflower. May was a gift ofc! 🤫

• they also have family dogs, they have a German Shepard, Milo and a Rough Collie, Mr. Roof. (Yes they have tons of animals bc yk the country.) They're good family dogs, and good herding one's too.

• not only do they participate in rodeos for extra money, but Livestock shows as well. Mimosa mostly shows chickens and goats.

• Her and Teddy are attached at the hip. If you find one you'll find the other in no time. Just as much as you'll find her if you find Soda or Dallas.

• For her papa = Sodapop and pops = Dallas

• Uhh she likes knife collecting. Reading anything and everything she gets her hands on if it has words. She has a bad habit of picking up animals/bugs from wherever and bringing them home. She rollerskates and skateboards. Big hat collector. No one knows what started it. Besides that though, most times she's out and about with the animals, or friends.

Teddy Facts-

• He was 7 when he was adopted. He quite literally chooses to remember zero, but sometimes things just trigger him a lot more compared to Mimosa.

• While Mimosa has her rootbear floats, Teddy will always ask for Banana pudding. He definitely loves bananas period.

• Teddy does not read. He rarely does and Mimosa doesn't exactly read to him anymore. She did teach him, but those things weren't their main concerns while in the system. So his reading level isn't good for his age. Which is why he prefers watching TV.

• When he gets older he totally dates a ton, and just maybe he has a lil crush on Jamie, so you can bet Tex and him butt heads on that. But sometimes dating and romance is the least of his concern.

• Teddy has a Shire Clydesdale, JJ. Who is used in Draft shows and heavy lifting at home obvi. Most times they use Soda or Dallas's horse sometimes for rodeo events.

• During livestock show season Teddy does too show goats, but he also shows pigs.

• Teddy is insanely attached to Soda, while Mimosa adores both their parents Teddy is always with Soda. He's with Dallas for like an hour max before leaving for Soda. Their's lore there okai if it isn't obvious enough.

• pa = Soda and pop = Dallas. Sometimes Dallas is just old man.

• Teddy is constantly out and about. He's either in Tulsa for days or leaves to the nearest area with water. Yes, he surfs any chance he gets. Why he started who knows, but whatever keeps him entertained. He also collects lil seashells and lets Mimosa make stuff with them #siblingbonding🥹. Soda does teach him about cars, and whatever he learns he teaches Mimosa so she'll know too. The only way Teddy can stick by Dallas for a long time is by hunting. I'd think the two enjoy doing it together.

• he's messy, he like is half mud and grass. That's it. Him and Mimosa are both messy, but like Teddy's the worst.

How they are with the Gang-

• Uncle Darry or most commonly known as uncle Dar-bear courtesy of Sodapop's nickname for his brother is the one the kids were first terrified of. It didn't take long for them to get comfortable though, and if anything I can see Darry becoming less overbearing just bc he jit tired himself out from worrying about the gang so much. He can still be scary, but really he raises his voice hardly unless they're really being dumb, and it isn't even really yelling. He just projects a bit more and that's enough. Anyway they love Darry, so sometimes they stay with him in the summer just so Soda and Dally have some alone time, or just bc they can.

• Ponyboy's not in Tulsa anymore. I think he actually travels frequently so he's never in one place. Uncle Pony is the favorite uncle without a doubt. I can't see him having any kids let alone settling down, so he treats them as his own. Which means constantly spoiling them, and bringing them wherever whenever if it doesn't involve his work getting in the way. He's also definitely more of a friend to them than real guardian. Which he wouldn't completely mind.

• "uncle" Steve 🤤. Sorry, anywayyy as Sodapop's #1 he is always there for the kids, and he bonds by teaching them about cars bc that's definitely his most common bonding method. Steve honestly hardly worries bout them let alone completely watches them. He got his own life to worry about, but they love bothering him. Their favorite past time really.

• "Uncle" Johnny I honestly don't know what he'd be doing. He could go through a ton of paths but yk... I'm just... I'll just make him a hairstylist for now. Don't kill me I'm just projecting rn, anyway Johnny definitely gets burnt-out so fast if it's just him and the kids. They're way to energetic and wander to much for his liking. He needs to care for them with someone else or he'll end up finding them talking to strangers, crossing streets, or disappearing if he looks away for even a second. I can't see him being good with real hyper kids at all.

• "Uncle" Two! He's the top worse person to leave them around besides Steve... and Johnny. He uses them a lot whenever he wants to steal more than one thing, and it sorta becomes a habit they also gain thanks to him. 🫩 The last person Soda or Dally would ever make babysit, but whenever he does it's like he's learning right along with Teddy and Mimosa. The kids love him for not being strict, but he can definitely be serious and for them that's the worst time to be acting dumb. He has a lil sister ofc he's gonna have a big brother mindset still.

The first time Soda kidnaps Dally he wakes up and just. Starts flirting with him. And it kind of carried into every other time

^Dally always manages to convince Soda to let him go by doing this. “C’mon doll, I’ve got some unfinished business involving some girls you flirted with at the DX and I can’t get into your pants if I don’t take care of it.”

They both stalk each other. I think Soda would do it a lot more if he had the time but #familyexists

Dally somehow always knows where Soda is. This mf has his whole schedule memorized

Soda finds the most absurd places to keep Dally. Once he decided that his closet was a good space to keep him but obviously Pony found him getting tied up

^this was a very awkward conversation (Dally covered for Soda and said he wanted to scare Pony and he got Soda to help)

^^Pony figures Soda out from this but he isn’t sure about Dally

If he could Dally would kill everyone in the gang that isn’t the Curtis brothers or Johnny (so Steve and Two-bit) but that would be too suspicious

Soda wants to threaten everyone who comes near Dally but he reassures himself by saying that he’ll have Dally all to himself soon

Two-bit once had a crush on Dally but got threatened the living shit out of him by Soda (I had to add Dalbit in here somehow)

Steve knows about both of their tendencies but is too scared to say anything because he would probably get kidnapped and tortured

Two-bit only knows about Soda

Yk what happened with Sandy? Yeah that was all Dally. He came up with all that. Sandy’s dead btw
