They kissed with all the love and desperation that came from such a sudden, absurd separation, with the blazing force that came from battling with fear and doubt for so long, with all the intimate recoil of being irrevocably changed and scrambling for normalcy and reassurance. They kissed like they would never be apart again, with the knowledge that it was wishful thinking, and with the certainty that they would still come back to each other afterwards. With the relief that came from unburdening each other, from the promise of more unburdening and the reassurance that it would be met with love and understanding.
