I love how I tell my partner my revelation about Miyuki and Sawamura both being hot, and his reaction is to start discussing a possible otome game where it starts with the MC trying to romance Miyuki or Sawamura in college and then shifts to trying to get them together instead
so Iāve always loved Miyuki because: obviously, heās the pretty boy catcher. he is designed to be a hot anime boy and is also voiced by my absolute favorite Sakurai Takahiro. like, thereās just no way I was going to be unfazed all those many years ago.
but I always thought my love for Sawamura was a bit different. I fell in love with him for his personality, and he slowly became cuter and cuter over time. but now that Iāve been buying more daiya merch, Iām realizing thatā¦
isnāt Sawamura a hot anime boy too?!! I feel like heās portrayed stylishly in a lot of the merch, particularly starting after Act II. his eyes and smile are always so bright. I find that Miyuki tends to be more ācoolā in merch so Sawamura often outshines him with his dynamic facial expressions and cute outfits.
maybe itās because Sawamura is so goofy and loud all the time. it can be hard to map him directly to the typical āikemenā archetype. but now Iām imagining a shoujo romance with Sawamura as the male leadā¦ and Iām swooning!! I want to see that so muchā¦
Iām now realizing why I like aged-up misawa so much in djs. I feel like when theyāre older itās easier to see that Sawamura is just as attractive as Miyuki, because both of their builds have aligned. and Sawamura is usually a little bit more mature. so itās just two hot guys being a badass power couple. ugh itās amazingā¦ *chefs kiss*
in summary, in my head, Miyuki was the hot one and Sawamura was the cute one. now Iāve realized theyāre both hot!
