Hey @thebibliosphere or someone else who might have knowledge on this,
I keep hearing on social media about daith piercings fixing people's migraines. But when I try to look it up all of the official sources say no research suggests that it's anything more than a placebo effect. But when I try to find research on it, Im only finding case studies of individual patients where it did work or worked for a while before reverting back, and 1 overarching article that looked at nearly 200 articles on the subject and only found 3 that fulfilled the requirements to be included leading to the conclusion that not enough research existed to make a recommendation for or against it.
So, I was wondering if you or one of your followers or something might know more about this?
new piercing today 🥰 it hurt like a fuckin cunt 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
tips for the folks that want to get daith piercings!!!
don't look at it. ever. it'll sense your fear then grow an irritation bump for no fucking reason
don't clean it, it likes sitting in its own crust and filth. if you clean it, it will once again get mad and...yes! grow an irritation bump!
the jewerly WILL move, you can't stop it, don't fight it.
don't get one.

Finally I have my Daith piercing! :)
Wohoo, I'm super happy - I finally got my Daith piercing in my left ear! :D Got it done on the 2nd of December, and I love it sooo much! I now finally have completed getting my left ear pierced, it's "finished" so to say - and that is such a great feeling :) I absolutely LOVE the look, it's exactly what I wanted :) The only little thing missing is that I will exchange the two mid-helix studs for two rings - I'll try that in the beginning of next year and see how they behave with a ring.
My finished left ear:
I already got my Daith pierced once, in the beginning of September, but it was crooked and I was really unhappy with how it looked, so I took it out the next day... It didn't lay flat in the ear, but was tilted and protruded a bit out of the ear...kinda hart to see on pictures. That was the old version:
Also the piercer really had a bad day, not only was it crooked, he also poked me with the needle (that's where the blood came from...) and then also fucked up the transition when putting the jewellery in... The next day I had a furious headache and was already quite alarmed that I maybe could never wear this piercing...
But this time everything went smooth, I went to his colleague and he was very calm, took his sweet time and also used a bend needle and a clicker ring, not a curved barbell as jewellery, which I like much better. Also both times I got this piercing, I almost felt zero pain - maybe a 2/10 pain-wise, which astounds me so much, considering how thick the cartilage is! Such a dream! Also now - absolutely zero pain, it's perfectly protected within the ear, no rist of bumping it, lovely :)
So, I'm damn happy - what do you think of my finished piercing setup? :)
@maukca wanted to see this post :)
Did the math and were about $700 in
My third lobe that I've had for over two years is testing my patience. It is forever itchy, bumpy and angry.
On the other hand, my one year old daith piercing has been relatively easy to care for.
These piercings are trolling me.
