On May 18th, after that same Byward market visit, I went with my parents for a walk near the Ottawa River, then went for ice cream (dad couldn’t come due to health issues, so we got him a buster bar like he always does).
I got myself a Mocha Brownie Mudslide Blizzard, which had that chocolatey coffee taste with crunchy chocolate shell and chewy nut brownie chunks mixed in (It was melting a bit).

On the 21st of April, I went to Dairy Queen with my parents for an afternoon snack. While dad got a burger, I got myself a S’mores Blizzard (again, vanilla ice cream). I did eat it slowly since I had a bowl of homemade ramen half an hour before.
There were pieces of graham cracker in there, as well as little squares of milk chocolate, and it did taste like s’mores.

On March 7, my dad and I went to Dairy Queen for something to eat. While he got a burger, I got myself a Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone, with vanilla ice cream because the chocolate ice cream is too soft for that (sorta a running gag at that place). It was a sweet crunchy dip that gave a minty-fresh feel to the mouth. I’m not usually a fan of mint (in fact, I usually hate it), but this was actually good.

Went to Dairy Queen on June 16th last year with one of my parents. There were limited-edition Blizzards to coincide with the release of James Gunn’s Superman film. So I got the Superman one. It was cake batter flavoured, with that confetti cake taste and cookie dough texture. The sprinkles gave a good crunch.
Very different from the more-brightly coloured and differently flavoured Superman ice cream.
