He watches Henry's face fall as the laughter is sucked out of him in real time; Alex instantly misses it. He wants to take it back—to stay in the version of things where he and Henry could laugh as they splashed in the water under the bridge. They can't do that now that Alex shoved Henry's head beneath the surface.
