yesterday, a warm saturday, me and my friend, h, went downtown. it is usually the place we first think of when a hangout is proposed (mainly by her, because she is not connected to many others). we have been many times. this time we watched a movie, It Ends With Us, went to a market, and got food. kind of like a romantic date.
the movie was alright. we laughed through it, and because she is very scared of being looked down on i will emphasize WE WERE NOT LAUGHING ABOUT THE DV TAKING PLACE! our giggles were reserved for the line delivery and odd characters. i drank my medium pepsi, and then hers too. taking a piss (been trying to act more like a brit lately) afterwards was a necessity. the market didnt offer much. i made her walk around aimlessly until we found a restaurant. we went home (she went to the circus).
my main complaint is her slowness in walking. to me, we must go!!! there are places to be, this is not the time for a stroll! for her, it is always time for a stroll. either she is walking four feet behind me or she is pulling my shoulder out of its socket by dragging me in an effort to make me walk slower.
i went to freshco (my second home) after and got this frozen cheesecake thing from Lithuania! it wasnt cream cheese, instead curd (yogurt). was pretty good though, i just wish the chocolate had been tempered and the yogurt was blended properly because their were small chunks of milk fat solids throughout.
at the restaurant h told me many interesting stories and we talked briefly about the future. i truly will miss going downtown with her. shes one of my only friends (i could end the sentence here) that is always willing and able to hang out with me.
i have been trying to do calculus readiness quizzes. i would like to tell myself i remember much of the information my wonderful calculus teacher taught me, but that would be lying (not something im opposed to, but about math, i am). i do love math though. i started watching more videos about number theory, some equations (and how they were discovered) go in and out, which is fine, because i think the understanding the nature of numbers is the most important part.

anyways I haven't felt more miserable and disgusted with myself more than I am now at this very moment. more to disclose on a later date unfortunately now im going on my daily night walk.
I had forgotten to do my daily morning blogs because of how busy my day already started, and I had woken up pretty late in the morning. Despite waking up late, I woke up with good intentions and positive thoughts. I like to think that having positive thoughts can benefit me a lot especially my future and my hair.
When I woke up I did my daily morning stretches/workout. For me working out and stretching really helps me with not only my body but me spiritually and mentally. It helps keep me energized and ready for anything and really helps me stay calm and collected. It also helps keep me a happy person so there’s that.
I feel like today definitely almost became a bad day but I managed to turn it around and make it a good one. To anyone who’s having a bad day, just know that just because everything feels hopeless doesn’t mean it is. ♥
A Granola Recipe So Good You’ll Never Buy Store Bought Granola… Ever Again!
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your yogurt, add a little protein to your mid morning snack, or just love granola in general, I suggest you try this recipe. It’s super simple, uses only a few ingredients, and is so good.
THE RECIPE
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup packed coconut sugar
4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
5 cups old fashioned, gluten free rolled oats
2 cups raw almonds or pistachios, coarsely chopped
Shredded coconut
1. Adjust an oven rack to the upper-middle position and preheat the oven to 325F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, which together the maple syrup, coconut sugar, vanilla, and salt. Then whisk in the coconut oil. Fold in the oats and almonds until thoroughly coated.
3. Transfer the oat mixture to the lined baking sheet and spread across in an even layer. Using a stiff metal spatula, compress the oat mixture until very compact.
4. Bake until lightly browned, 30 to 35 minutes, rotating the pan once halfway through baking. Remove the granola from the oven. Allow the granola to cool before breaking apart into pieces.
5. Store the granola in a glass jar on the counter for up to 1 month.
