White dahlias are the most difficult to grow, because the flower petals show the slightest blemishes by developing ugly brown spots. Hello July! I have a feeling it will be the month of the dahlias in my garden! This is the first bloom of the gorgeous anemone dahlia ‘Blue Bayou’. I am in love with the combination of the lavender colored outer petals and the darker lavender pincushion center. I think this one will be gorgeous in bouquets together with dark purple varieties like for example ‘Thomas Edison’, which I happen to grow as well but hasn’t bloomed yet.
