Artisan Alley buzzed and bustled as Dominick walked around the busy market street. Reluctantly, he'd made the trip to the city to pick up a new supply of books and some other necessities.

It was rare for him to venture into town, and not just because of the travelling distance. He dreaded being out in the open, where everyone could freely gawk at his mechanical arm. As he moved through the crowd, he could feel the curious stares pricking into his back like needles. The hurtful whispers were soon to follow: odd, unnatural. Freak. Keeping his head low, Dominick quickened his pace.

One would think that, having lived with the prosthetic arm for as long as he has, he'd be used to the whispers by now. But somehow, they always seemed to hit their mark; before long, Dominick turned back, leaving his errands half-finished. There was only so much unfounded prejudice he could take in a day, and tonight his tolerance threshold seemed especially low.

The Smithy is only one (!) star short of reaching Rank 10, and Tom & Roland are giving it their all on the salesfloor!

Tom in particular was on his top game, schmoozing and charming the customers to the best of his (admittedly introverted) ability. He even successfully networked with Lord Maxwell Pollack, ending the shift on a high note.

Tom's Smithy is only some 10 stars away from reaching Level 9, and the pressure was on as Tom and Roland scrambled to keep the flood of customers happy and shopping.

The queue at the cash register was practically out the door, but Tom managed to check everyone out relatively quickly thanks to his awesome Business Experience™.

Running The Smithy was no one-man operation, and no one knew that better than Roland.

When he first agreed to help Tom launch a smithing business, he had no plans for it to become a permanent arrangement - it was merely his way of repaying Tom for his kindness. But the more business flourished, the more time and effort it took to keep things running smoothly. The operation grew like a tornado at sea, and Roland found himself caught in the eye of the storm.

Surprisingly, though, he didn't seem to mind. He discovered that he had a knack for sales, and the customers loved him for his effortless charm.
