You know when stories have characters relive the same day over and over again until they learn some lesson and they're able to move on? That's what this week is going to feel like. Maybe we're not living the exact say day everyday, but we're going to encounter some familiar points of frustration or hang up. You might ask yourself why something continues to be a problem for you or why someone always responds to you in a certain way. Take a moment to contemplate what's the same between all the instances in which that occurs. Is it always after nights you don't sleep well? Is it always during moments of intimacy with the other person? Is it at a certain time of day, week, or month? Notice the patterns that crop up around these things that are bothering you and use what you learn to start breaking free of the cycles that perpetuate it.
To use a real and tangible example in case anyone needs one (and it is a little TMI regarding bodily functions, just a heads up): my wife has IBS-C. She takes probiotic and fiber gummies and eats fiber cereal everyday to try to keep her guts moving. A while ago she went almost a week without a bowel movement. To try to calm her panic, I asked if there was anything she consumed or didn't consume that she usually does/doesn't. She said she stopped drinking her morning coffee because she wanted to cut caffeine out of her diet. Coffee (and caffeine in general) is a diuretic. I told her to try a cup of coffee the next morning, and wouldn't you know it? Her guts started moving again. It was a simple change that she didn't think would impact her that much, but when we stopped to think about the problem we found the solution to moving forward in a way that worked better for her and her body. She's embraced her daily cup of coffee as necessary for her health and wellbeing, and it's helped her a lot.
So maybe there's a blockage in your life that may or may not be as literal as the one my wife had. But when you stop to think about the situation, you'll find what's getting in the way of progress and can then do something about it. You can't have forward motion or change if the same thing continues to block that movement. Don't be afraid to do some digging and get messy in order to find the root cause of the issue so you can do something about it.
