DCLCU (deancas lakehouse cinematic universe) created by @acklesy and @plantdadcas is superior season 16 truthing. Tomorrow, Dean and Cas have been married 3 months 💚💙
“Papa,” A hushed voice says.
Cas is not a morning person. He’d much rather stay in bed until 9am before getting up and facing the day.
Dean, on the other hand, wakes up just after 6 every morning, leaving Cas in bed alone to sleep for another few hours.
Well, not really alone.
“Yes, baby?” Cas asks, rolling over to find Jack crawling his way up from the foot of the bed.
“Morning ‘nuggles?” Jack questions, pulling his favorite Toy Story blankie in one hand as he makes his way toward Cas.
“You better hurry up,” Cas laughs. “My arms are getting sad from missing you.”
Jack giggles and scrambles the rest of the way up the bed, crashing into Cas’ awaiting arms.
“Oh! My arms are happy again.” Cas says, dropping a few soft kisses to Jack’s hair as he pulls him to his chest.
They started this morning ritual a few months ago. Dean and Jack usually wake around the same time. They laze in their pajamas while Dean makes coffee and breakfast, because Jack is always cranky and hungry in the morning. Then, Jack sprawls out on the rug in the living room and watches an episode of his favorite cartoon (Curious George is his favorite of the week). The cartoon usually finishes around 8 and Jack heads straight upstairs for his “morning snuggles” with Cas.
It’s Cas’ favorite part of the day. Holding his son in his arms while they both laze sleepily in bed. Some mornings he’ll quietly tell Jack a story, brushing his fingers through Jack’s soft curls, while Jack listens with rapt attention.
It’s easy, blissful. Cas spends his mornings cuddling with his baby, perfectly content to stay in bed until lunch, if the 4 year old would ever allow that.
Cas nuzzles his nose into Jack’s hair, pulling him even closer to his chest, and lets his eyes fall shut for a few more minutes of peace.
YES. dean IS a grumpy, caring, kiss-the-cook apron wearing dad just like bobby and he deserved to let the entire world know it. bobby went his whole life not having kids because he didn't want to be like his father. dean absolutely did/should have been able to continue showing he's just as capable as bobby because they taught each other what it meant to be a good father.
you know i was going to say something coherent and then i read "because they taught each other what it meant to be a good father" and i. just... yeah. yeah they did. 😭😭😭😭
Dad finished season 14, and he's deeeep in denial about Jack killing Mary.
"Lucifer actually got out of The Empty, and he's floating round there disembodied, A," he told me. "That's what happened, right? That wasn't a Lucifer figment; it was Lucifer."
He also separately started SPNWin and I kinda wanna join him for veteran commentary soooo bad. Sadly, he's been so normal about the shows, it's a little sad. I miss the days when he ranted about spiritual sperm. 🤯

Btw, my dad has become officially weird about Dean, and I think congratulations is in order.
I think the key is, if you don't get Cas arcs or see them as non-agency or "only humor" whatever, then you have a mighty need to watch it with a war veteran. I promise that if you pay attention, you'll walk away with a different perspective.
Dad, watching TheWinchesters - "DEAN!"
He hasn't said anything else yet.
