Naofumi: Parenthood is a spectrum.
L'Arc: Explain, please.
Naofumi: Sometimes, my kids make me so proud I almost like myself.
Naofumi: Other times, I say "Well, At least they're not doing crack cocaine".

I know Naofumi and Raphtalia are bound to be Cannon (or they're probably Cannon already in the manga haven't read it yet) but I see them as Father-Daughter and I want them to stay that way in my AU cuz Dadfumi has my heart an soul
TheRuFumi Prompt Idea
I had a random thought pop in my head, for a shield hero fanfic.
Imagine Naofumi & company (plus Rishia & Melty) have just finished their most recent mission and while on there way back through a forest area. When they happen upon L’arc & Therese with Glass & Kizuna in tow. After a bit of walking and talking (mostly flirting from L’arc), they come across the three idiots- I mean heroes, who were traveling with there parties, but somehow got separated. However, as soon as they got close, the ground suddenly shakes and caves underneath them, sending all of them into the pit below.
When they wake up, there in what looked to be a dungeon. As they search the dungeon for a way out they are lead into rooms that seem to hold different versions of themselves from different universes in each room. One room had genderbent opposites, the other has a version where the spear & shield are switched, and another had a version where they were all a kind of supernatural or mythical creature.

Naofumi having a "When the curse worked, and you got a child exactly like you. Only, they lied. They're so easy to love" moment about his kids, and how proud of them he is and how much he loves them, even when he sees himself and his influence in them too. Slowly, he learns to live himself again, by seeing the good he can do and be, through his children, and their love for him.
(Further rant in the tags)
Naofumi: What would you say if I came home with, uh, six kids? Raphtalia: Raphtalia: What's under your cape, Naofumi? Naofumi, wearing a suspiciously bulky cape: Raphtalia: What's under the cape, Naofumi? Naofumi, with six small children hiding under his cape: ...I think you know.

Naofumi: A few days ago, Filo and Raphtalia got into an argument, and they've been angry at each other since.
Naofumi: Today, Filo came running up to me, crying, with Raphtalia behind her, and told me "She called me the b-word"
Naofumi: Then, as I'm reminded that maybe I should curse less around me kids, Raphtalia chines in "Motherfucker doesn't start with a b".
Naofumi: Filo was almost crying, so I had to force myself not to laugh.
Naofumi: I think Raphtalia could tell I was trying not to laugh, because she looked so smug for the rest of the day.
L'Arc: Sooo, you ever think about having children?
Naofumi:
Naofumi: *Gestures to his village*
L'Arc:
L'Arc: I see.
Random person: Excuse me, is that monster bothering you?
Naofumi, trying not to look at Filo, who's trying to show him how many marshmallows she can fit into her mouth at once: No, she's my daughter. I signed up for this.
