Daddy's Rules
I have a long list of rules for me. Every one of them has come from a mistake I made or someone I hurt. I do my very best not to break them because I've seen what my carelessness has done to people. Young Doms, listen up. Young subs, take notes because I still consider myself the bare minimum. Here are my top ten:
"Yes" means nothing unless "no" is a safe and easy option.
Your authority is secured by their trust. If you cannot preserve their trust, you do not deserve your authority.
Be unapologetically honest and kind. You could die at any moment, so don't let the important things go unsaid.
Never put your wants above their needs. You can go without a want but they cannot go without a need.
Their safety comes first. You have been given the lion's share of the agency, which gives you the lion's share of the responsibilities.
Never act out of anger. It undermines your authority, your sub's trust and everyone's safety.
Praise in public, scold in private. A sub's successes should be celebrated. Their failures should be kept between you and them.
Punishment is a correction, not retribution. If a punishment is not constructive, it is worthless.
Don't judge. If your sub comes to you with a problem or a mistake, don't make them feel lesser for it. If you make it clear that you aren't safe to confide in, they won't come to you for help.
Be accountable to your sub. Admit when you're wrong and strive to be better. They deserve a better Dom and you deserve a better you.
These are the big ten. I have lots of niche rules like "Don't come between partners" and "Always diffuse the brat," but those don't apply to every situation. There are companion rules for subs and even abusive behaviors I have retooled for safety, so stay tuned for those.
