“Say dada,” Leon says, before filling up the baby’s face with kisses. It’s the sweetest sight, truly, especially since your baby girl bursts into laughter.
“You know she can barely hold her head up, right? She won’t fulfill your wishes,” you answer, smiling as you watch Leon play with your three-month-old. Your husband, who complains that his daughter is growing too fast, is desperate for her to say her first words.
“She’s a smart girl, isn’t she?” he asks before blowing a raspberry on her tummy, earning a giggle from his little girl. Leon can’t help himself before pinching her chubby cheeks. “She’ll be speaking in no time.”
“Say dada, sweetheart. Dada.” He drags out the word, hoping that it’ll incite her to speak. As if the refined motor skill just needs some motivation from dad for it to get going. You let out a low laugh before deciding that you’ll let your husband be.
You never pictured Leon as this type of father. While he made it clear that he was overjoyed, you didn’t expect him to be so loving with the baby. It’s only natural though. And you can say that you’re overjoyed as you discover this new side of Leon. A side only you and your daughter get to see.
“Look she’s about to–” Leon’s eyes widen as she opens her mouth. He’s filled with false hope until he remembers that she loves to put her hands in her mouth. He sighs before he lets out a chuckle. He kisses her cheeks before saying, “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Honey, she won’t speak any time soon,” you remind him and he shakes his head.
“Don’t listen to mama, love. She doesn’t know just how smart you are,” he says, eyes engrossed with the baby. He looks at her adoringly up until she sneezes– And even then he’s completely enamored. She has the absolutely cutest sneezes.

Warnings: smuttt, crying babies, parenthood, everybody's favourite family <3
Summary: You and Leon think it's safe to let loose during sex after you spent the day at the pool, getting all of your kids' energy out. Little do you know your 3-year-old, Ollie, has his own interpretation of the noise he hears.
a/n: So this is actually a combination of a bunch of requests I'm realising. Because in order for Ollie to be old enough to be able to speak, that would also coincide with the time reader and Leon were trying for baby Alva. Also the pool thing fit, but that was Mermaids. Either way, based on this request and can be read as a spin-off to my Cooperative Parenting series.
ENJOY xx
Special shoutout to my dealer @mrswinterbarnes for sharing some fantastic nsfw aeon artwork by @ariespsyche with me that inspired the smut in this. Good fics are a community effort guys!

“Oh my god,” Leon moaned, as he pushed into you in this new position. “Oh fuck.”
You cried out his name, holding on to his thigh and his biceps for dear life. “Oh fuck yes, ah—”
The kids had been getting their energy out at the pool all day and were out cold. There was no way anyone in this house would wake up before tomorrow morning, no matter what they heard. So you and Leon were going at it like you’d never get the chance again. In fairness, with two young kids, this was an opportunity that didn't present itself very often. It was too good to pass up.
The soundscape of your bedroom was absolutely obscene. Between skin slapping, panting and loud moans, you had lost your entire sense of self, completely melting into the pleasure Leon was causing you.
You whimpered, as you felt your inner walls clench around him.
“Look at yourself baby,” Leon panted. “You look so fucking pretty.”
You opened your eyes, watching your and Leon’s reflection in the mirror across from your bed. It was hot as hell. You with your head hanging over the edge of the mattress, legs spread wide for Leon to thrust into you and rub your clit at the same time. His handsome face was somewhere between agony and pure bliss, mouth agape, brows knitted together and both of your bodies were covered in a sheen glint of sweat.
You looked absolutely delicious.
“Oh my god,” you moaned, your breath being cut off by Leon slamming into you to the hilt. “Yes, Leon, harder. Oh fuck yes, just like that. Oh fuck.” You cried out again as he did as he was told. He tended to do that when he was balls deep inside you.
Your body was moving further off the mattress, skin slapping against skin becoming even louder as your sex god of a husband pounded into you, setting your every nerve ending on fire, a strangled moan falling from his lips.
You wanted to tell him how good he was fucking you, you really did, but you had lost all speech, you feared. The only thing coming over your lips were uncontrollable moans and screams of pleasure.
Leon whimpered when you clenched down on him again. “Fuck yes, oh just like that, cum for me baby, I love you so much.”
He was so close too, he was trying to drag it out a little longer, so you could have an orgasm so intense it would shake your entire body but he was having an increasingly hard time. You could tell from the way he was gritting his teeth and the strangled noises slipping past his lips. It was music to your ears.
You had married the best man in the entire world. The most generous, sexy, thoughtful, absolute porn star of a man.
“Oh fuck, oh my god, Leon,” you cried out, your fingernails digging into his skin as you came hard enough for your soul to leave your body. The sounds that were coming out of you were worthy of an exorcist. But god was nowhere near you right now, this was all Leon.
He loved how loud and completely helpless to your own climax you were. You could tell. Because his thrusts became sloppy, as he spilled into you with low, guttural grunts, all elegance lost to the intensity of your orgasms.
This was glorious. You rarely had the chance to completely let loose like that and boy had you made the most of it.
When you were finally done, Leon gently pulled you back onto the mattress so you could come down without your head hanging off the bed. How thoughtful. How orgasmic. How absolutely perfect.
“I love you,” you panted, lying next to him, both of you wondering if you had died and were in heaven.
“Yeah, I could tell,” Leon said, breathlessly, a smile playing on his lips. “I’d say you really like me a lot.”
“I do,” you confirmed, pulling him in for a passionate kiss.
“Do you think that got you pregnant?” he asked, still trying to catch his breath, gently placing a hand on your lower belly.
You smiled against his lips. You were trying for a baby. For the first time, funnily enough. This wasn't your first child. You already had two kids but both of them had been unplanned. As much as you loved your surprise babies, you wanted another chance to do it right, tracking your cycle and everything.
You had already been at it for the past several months but there was no second line to be seen on the pregnancy test yet. It was like a cosmic joke. Your reproductive systems apparently only cooperated when you were in fact not actively trying to conceive.
“I don’t know. Maybe we should try again in a bit, just to be sure?”
Leon chuckled. “Give me a couple minutes and I would love to—”
A distraught cry made your heart clench.
“Mama,” a child's voice sounded from across the hallway.
“Oh shit, that’s Ollie,” you whispered, immediately shifting out of sex goddess and into mom mode.
Your youngest was screaming like a banshee, only stopping to hiccup as he was catching the breath he so desperately needed to continue his assault on your ears.
Before you even got up from the bed, Leon had already pulled on a pair of boxers and rushed out the bedroom door.
You took one last deep breath to fully arrive on this plane of existence and shrugged into your robe. Ollie would no doubt stop screaming once Leon appeared in his bedroom door, chasing the monster under his bed away.
But Ollie did not stop. He only screamed louder and more frantically.
“Not you,” he shrieked and you tied the belt around your midsection, rushing down the hallway.
Ollie was completely fixated on you. Ever since he had been born, he was a real momma’s boy. You had also breastfed him for longer than usual because he had a hard time letting you go. But that was okay. If your baby needed you more, then he needed you more. You weren't on other people's timelines. Just like with getting pregnant. This was your family, everything would come together in its own time.
However, Ollie had never full-on rejected Leon like that before.
“Ollie, what’s up? Hey, buddy, it’s okay, I’m here,” Leon cooed softly, trying to pick his son up and calm him down, as he was sobbing and thrashing.
In his distraught state, Ollie sent a forceful kick straight to Leon's jaw. Leon winced, squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath, before backing off and leaving his son to his tantrum.
“Where’s mommy?” Ollie shrieked, hot tears streaming down his face.
“I’m here, baby,” you said softly, crouching down next to his bed. Ollie frantically freed himself from the duvet and flung himself into your arms.
You cradled him against your chest, his face buried in your neck. “Ollie, hey, shhh,” you shushed him, gently stroking his soft curls. “Did you have a bad dream?”
Ollie gurgled and sobbed against the skin on your neck, barely able to compose himself. “No, he was hitting you. Why was daddy hitting you?”
“Your dad wasn’t hitting me, Ollie,” you whispered, pressing a kiss to his head. “You had a bad dream.”
“No, I heard it, you were screaming and he was hitting you,” Ollie insisted, hiccupping again. He was so stressed, his little body was shaking.
Leon’s wide eyes found yours. “Oh no.”
“Uh…” You paused, not quite sure what to say, as your cheeks turned hot, looking at Leon for help.
Leon shook his head, just as lost as you were. He opened his mouth to say something, stopped, closed it again.
Your son was three. He had no idea what was going on. Neither did you want him to. You were mortified that he had heard what you and Leon had been up to. No kid should ever have to hear that.
“Ollie,” Leon said softly, scooting over to you and his son.
Ollie shrieked again, his voice breaking into a sob. “Make him go away.”
Leon looked like he had been slapped across the face.
You softly rocked your son from side to side. You had an idea.
“Leon, can you get his sippy cup?” you whispered and Leon already pushed himself off the floor, disappearing into the kitchen.
“Ollie, I’m okay,” you whispered, taking a deep breath in, your chest expanding against your son's body. After a couple of breaths like that, Ollie started to regulate his breathing too, his crying becoming less frantic. You pressed your cheek against his, repeating the motion.
Leon appeared in the door with Ollie’s cup, handing it to you from a safe distance.
You took the cup from him, offering it to your son. He wordlessly took it into his hands, drinking from it.
If they’re having a tantrum, just add water. Old mom trick from Rhonda. That could be for drinking, gently washing their hands—just add water in some way, shape or form.
Back when Lottie had been going through her terrible twos, Rhonda had seen you completely overwhelmed and struggling to keep it together. You had tried everything but nothing would work and it was getting increasingly harder not to snap when the devil seemed to have taken over your child at every meltdown. Sensory reset. For the both of you. It was so simple sometimes.
Ollie swallowed and you smiled, running a gentle hand over his head again.
“I’m okay, Ollie. Your dad didn’t do anything I didn’t want him to do,” you said.
“It sounded really bad,” he sniffled, blinking, tears streaking his chubby cheeks.
You wiped the tears away from the soft skin. “You weren’t supposed to hear that, baby. We’re very sorry. That was grown-up stuff.”
“Do you promise?” Ollie looked at you, face all red and puffy.
You nodded. “I promise. Your father and I love each other very much, we would never hurt each other.”
Ollie wrinkled his forehead, shooting an angry glance at Leon. “Do you promise?”
Leon put a hand over his heart, crouching down behind you. “I promise. I love your mom. More than anything.”
Ollie sniffled again. “Good. Because she’s my mom.”
Leon chuckled, nodding. “I know.”
“Ollie, I’m also your sister’s mom,” you said, smiling softly at his possessiveness. “And I’m your dad’s wife. We all belong together. It’s important to me that you know that, okay?”
Ollie nodded hesitantly, throwing his head down onto your shoulder again, gripping you a little tighter. “Can I sleep in your bed?”
You chuckled, being very familiar with his shtick. “Try and sleep in your own bed, okay? We won’t wake you up again.”
“I don’t want to,” he said immediately, voice quivering, threatening to start screaming the house down all over again.
“You need to sleep in your own bed sometimes. Like your sister does. You’re a big boy now.”
“Daddy’s bigger than me. He sleeps in your bed every night.”
You chuckled. “That’s different.”
Leon pressed a kiss to your cheek. “You know, he kind of has a point.”
“We’re supposed to be on the same page, Leon,” you hissed.
“I know,” he said, offering his hand to his son. “I would never hurt your mom, Ollie. Never.”
Ollie gave Leon a tired high-five. “Okay.”
“How about your mom stays here with you until you’re asleep? Does that sound good?”
Ollie nodded and you lifted him up and into his bed. Leon leaned forward and pulled the duvet over his son’s shoulders.
Ollie made a grabby gesture and you took his hand, sitting by his bedside.
Leon tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, his lips finding your temple and lingering for a little too long. “He won’t remember this when he gets older, right?”
You shrugged. “I honestly don’t know. I hope not.”
“I’ll go check on Lottie,” Leon whispered. “And when you come back to bed I have plans for you.”
“Quiet plans,” you reminded him.
“Oh very quiet, you’ll see,” he murmured, pulling you in for a kiss on the lips, sending tingling sensations all over your body.
You gasped.
“Leon,” you yelled, jumping up and rushing to the bathroom door.
“What?” Leon called back, stepping into the hallway and freezing when he saw what you were holding in your hand.
“Is it …?”
You nodded.
He rushed toward you, taking the pregnancy test from your hands. The second line was pale still, because you were only supposed to get your period that day, but it was definitely there.
“Oh my god, you’re pregnant,” Leon whispered, his face lighting up.
“We’re having another baby.” You couldn’t stop the wide smile appearing on your face.
Leon pulled you closer to him, resting his forehead against yours. He gently placed his hands on your lower belly, caressing your skin with his thumbs. Your eyes fluttered shut, a happy sigh escaping you at the thought of the next eight months.
“Boy or girl, what do you think?”
You chuckled. “Leon, I have no idea. There’s no way to tell.”
He captured your lips in a gentle kiss. “We actually planned this one, start to finish.” He sounded so proud.
You nodded. “Shocking, I know.”
“Took us a while, though.” He whispered, gaze falling down to your still flat belly. Not for much longer. You would be able to show off your baby bump in no time and you couldn't wait.
“I didn’t hear you complaining,” you teased him, nudging your nose against his.
He chuckled. “This is our last pregnancy. We have to enjoy this and take so many pictures. Maybe go on one of those babymoon things or whatever they’re called.”
You nodded again. “This is the last time we’ll do this. Our last baby.” Why did you feel a little teary-eyed all of a sudden? Hormones weren’t supposed to spike this early on.
“It feels so weird not to be surprised with it,” Leon said. “I had time to look forward to finding out.”
“I’m so excited,” you replied. “I can’t wait to see what Lottie and Ollie are going to say.”
Leon's gaze trailed down and he bit back a laugh. “Do you want to pull up your pants before we tell them, though?”
“Oh,” you exclaimed, reaching down.
a/n: experts will know this was of course not their last baby. surprise, bitches as per Cooperative Parenting - Epilogue

Summary — You were peacefully cooking dinner until your husband, Leon S. Kennedy, came home from grocery shopping suddenly way too needy for your attention. But unfortunate for him your daughter, luna, had other plans for the evening.
As you stood in the kitchen, your apron tied neatly over your floral dress, you quietly inhaled the warm air around you; rich with the scent of fresh pasta sauce and garlic sizzling softly in the pan and slowly; absentmindedly you stirred them together.
And for once, everything felt peaceful.
Honestly, if you thought back on it, you never truly believed he would ever be yours. But now, here you are, cooking dinner for your small family, as you think about it; a small smile slowly appears on your face.
Your thoughts were pulled away the moment the front door opened, and your five-year-old daughter yelled dramatically from the living room, “Mommyyyyy! Dadddyyyy’s home!”
You chuckled softly and craned your neck to glance outside the kitchen, though obviously it was useless, so you simply shook your head instead and called back, “Yes, sweetie.”
As Leon entered the house, you heard the door click shut behind him, followed by quiet whispers and tiny giggles shared between him and your daughter. The sound alone warmed your heart so tenderly that you found yourself zoning out again while stirring the pan.
A second later, his footsteps echoed in the kitchen as Leon finally walked inside; carrying grocery bags in both hands. You paused for a moment and turned to look at him, only to realize he looked far too ridiculously attractive for a man who had just gone grocery shopping. His sleeves were rolled up, hair slightly messy, exhaustion lingering on his face in the prettiest way possible. His eyes are solely on you and you feel yourself getting a little shy.
God even after eight years of marriage he still made you feel like that. “Bought everything?” you asked instead of focusing on his stupidly attractive frame, and trying to sound composed, but you knew your voice might have betrayed you anyway so, you turned your attention back toward the pan.
“Mhm,” Leon hummed lazily.
You barely had time to blink before he set the grocery bags down on the floor with a soft thud and walked straight behind you, his large hands immediately sliding around your waist. “Leon—” you breathed.
But he only hummed quietly against your shoulder, pulling you back flush against his chest as if he hadn’t seen you in weeks instead of a few minutes.
His warmth instantly surrounded you. “You smell so good,” he muttered, voice rough from exhaustion, his nose brushing against the side of your neck before he pressed a lazy kiss there.
You tried focusing on the pasta again, though your hand slowed on the spoon almost immediately, and you felt your knees weaken at the kiss, “I’m cooking.” you say quietly.
“I can see that.” Leon whispered and pressed another kiss behind your ear, making you tingle all over “Leon,” you laughed softly, already feeling your face warm, “the sauce is gonna burn.”
“Then turn the heat down.” Leon breathed against your skin, the audacity in his voice made you shake your head, but your lips betrayed you with a smile anyway.
Behind you, Leon sighed dramatically, tightening his arms around your waist like he physically couldn’t stand being more than an inch away from you. His chin rested on your shoulder while his fingers lazily rubbed circles against your stomach beneath the apron. “Missed you,” he murmured.
You blinked slightly, and felt your shiver at his touch at how soft he sounded. He still did this sometimes, said things so simply, so honestly, that it caught you completely off guard. As if loving you came as naturally to him as breathing. “You were gone for like… twenty minutes” you teased quietly.
“And it was terrible,” Leon complained in a tired voice.
His comment made you chuckle instantly. “That bad?”
“Everything without you is,” Leon replied innocently as he buried his face deeper against your neck, breathing in your scent in a way that made your eyes flutter shut for a second, warmth stirring deep in your chest.
You tried elbowing him lightly, but Leon only sighed dramatically and held you even closer.
“Leon!” you shrieked quietly. “Luna will see us!”
“See what?” he asked against your skin, sounding far too innocent. “That her dad loves her mom?”
Heat immediately rushed to your face at his comment. “Oh my God, you are stupid,” you muttered, rolling your eyes as you elbowed his chest playfully again.
This time Leon acted personally wounded by it. “So violent,” he complained under his breath, but still instead of pulling away he tightened his arms around your waist while his other hand wandered teasingly across your torso, he stopped when he finally found the swell of your breasts and grazed it slowly with his thumb, making your breath hitch embarrassingly fast.
“Fuck, Leo—” you breathed out, instinctively pressing your thighs together in a desperate attempt to ease the warmth spreading through your body.
Leon chuckled deeply; as he knew what he was doing, slowly he leaned closer to your ear and spoke in that rough voice that always made your entire brain stop functioning. “I wanna take you right here,” he murmured; “bend you over this counter until all you can think about is me.”
Your entire body short-circuited at his comment, a faint flush spreading all over your body, “Leon Scott Kennedy—”
Just then, you heard tiny footsteps marching toward the kitchen. Leon groaned instantly, slumping his chin onto your shoulder as he gave your breast one last teasing squeeze before you swatted his hands away like he was a pesky fly.
Leon chuckled softly against your ear as he settled for holding your waist instead. A second later, Luna appeared dramatically at the kitchen entrance holding one of her stuffed animals upside down.
You knew she was coming here but still physically jumped away from Leon in horror, like you’d just been caught doing something illegal by your parents.
Leon, completely unhelpful as always, looked far too amused by your panic.
But thank God Luna didn’t seem to notice anything.
You shot Leon a glare sharp enough to kill, already deciding you were absolutely going to murder him later, lovingly, of course.
“Daddy,” she said again, still staring at Leon suspiciously, “Mr. Buttons threw up again.”
Silence, the silence afterward her comment made you bite down hard on your lip to stop yourself from laughing. Leon stared at her for a long moment before dragging a tired hand down his face. “Sweetie… that’s a stuff toy.”
“No,” Luna argued confidently, clutching the poor teddy bear tighter as she stepped towards Leon with hushed tears in her eyes, “he threw up. Can you fix him?”
Leon sighed and it was the sigh of a man who had survived literal bioweapons only to lose against a five-year-old’s imagination. “Alright,” he muttered dramatically, crouching down in front of her. “Let me examine the patient.”
Luna gasped. “Is he dying?”
“Not really. But he has a severe cotton explosion,” Leon replied seriously, turning the toy around like an actual medic while you nearly choked trying to hold back your laughter.
Luna looked horrified. “Save him, Daddy!”
“I’ll do my best,” Leon said solemnly, giving Luna a dramatic fake salute, which makes you chuckle instantly, leon glancing at you narrowing his eyes; so instead you cover it with a loud cough.
Leon smiled afterwards at you his gaze softening as he turned his attention towards her again and before he could even stand properly again, Luna grabbed his hand and began pulling him toward the living room with all her tiny strength while he allowed himself to be dragged away unwillingly. “C’mon! Hurry!”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” he groaned dramatically as he gave you one last look over his shoulder, giving you a “Save me” smile but you just stuck your tongue out at Leon, which made him grin stupidly big.
“Later,” Leon muttered under his breath and turned away; as your daughter finally managed to pull him towards the living room, leaving you all alone; and just like that, the kitchen fell quiet again.
Now standing there alone, your cheeks felt warm and red from laughing, the aroma of dinner still swirling softly through the kitchen. Hearing Leon, your goofball husband, playing with your daughter in the other room made you realize maybe… this is what heaven felt like.
How would Leon be with his and readers daughter or kids in general? (I’m a truther for Leon being a girl dad..)
leon is the kind of girl dad that…
can be a little bit reserved when it comes to emotions. i feel like he’d want you take on the more emotional aspects (like drama, boy/girl stuff, etc) just because i feel like he’d be more logical in that kind of situation. leon’s whole life basically has been about finding solutions to problems. however he is very sensitive to his daughter’s emotions. he hates seeing her sad or upset.
is very reassuring towards his daughter. although he’s probably not the first choice to talk through issues, he’s extremely aware of his kid’s emotions.
gives verbal reassurance and grounds his daughter when she feels overwhelmed or sad. he’d say things like, “i’ve got you,” or “it’s gonna be okay,” just little things sprinkled here and there that’d make his daughter feel better. i also think he’d just sit by her silently and let her vent but he would always listen intently. he’s not the best with words but his presence alone is reassuring.
is overprotective. he has the natural instinct to protect his family, and his daughter is no exception. out in public he would definitely have a hand on her back for his own peace of mind because he doesn’t want to lose sight of her for even a second. for his teenager, i definitely think it’d take a bit of convincing for him at first to let her go out on her own. in fact i think he’d want you to chaperone her for a bit to just make sure nothing happens.
doesn’t believe in discipline. he’d probably delegate that sector to you for the more petty issues like talking back/attitude problems. i don’t think he lets everything slide, but he certainly doesn’t want to inflict pain or make her feel bad about doing something wrong. i definitely think he would sit her down and have a talk with her and say something like, “you know that’s not okay, right?” and be really gentle about it overall.
is relatively silent but extremely observant. typical teenage stuff like sneaking out, attitude, etc would be handled pretty quietly by him. he’d already know if she’d snuck out before she even got back. he’d definitely say something like “have fun?” just to make her aware that he already knew/he’d always know. he’d prefer to let her deal with the consequences naturally rather than be uptight about it.
he’d loop you in on her behavior as well if you weren’t already aware. he’d let you decide how to handle it. leon prefers not to confront his daughter about those things because he personally doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal. for him, as long as she’s not in trouble with the law, anything else isn’t really a big issue but simply apart of her being a teenager.
is very lax, but expects maturity as well. he respects his daughter’s boundaries and never oversteps because he wants her to experience life firsthand. he definitely keeps watch over her from a distance and only steps in when absolutely necessary. he gives his daughter a lot a freedom and he definitely says “with freedom comes responsibility.” he lets her find out some things for herself. he knows his kid is capable because he raised her to be that way.
i feel like he’d also rely on you to be more assertive when it comes to her freedom/privileges. leon’s parenting style is definitely not strict and he doesn’t want to hover. he’d want you to balance out his laidback nature with something a little more firm.
wants his daughter to trust him. leon can read people very well and knows when someone isn’t a good person. anyone she brings around will likely be thoroughly evaluated by him quietly and he will probably run a background check on them too lmao. he doesn’t want to micromanage her, but he will tell her when he doesn’t trust someone.
he’d also leave “the talk” to you as well. leon couldn’t take himself seriously talking to his daughter about that kind of thing. i feel like if he tried he’d probably be like, “just… remember to be safe.” to which he’d instantly regret saying.
isn’t naturally expressive. he has his own way of showing he cares for his kid. it’s really more of like him performing acts of service quietly and letting her find out later. he’d definitely be like, “yeah. you said you ran out, so…” when she’d ask about it. i also think he’d sit with her whenever she’d be doing something really mundane but wanted someone to chat to. he wouldn’t say much but he’d always be listening.
he’d talk to you to get ideas for gifts. she would definitely be more enthusiastic with you and divulge a lot more details about her interests than she would with leon. leon listens but he doesn’t say that much. he wouldn’t have a full-blown conversation about it like how you would, but he’d wanna know what she likes and wants.
can be physically affectionate at times. i don’t think leon is the biggest fan of hugs/physical affection, kinda just depends on the situation. he’d be very intentional with it. when his daughter’s young i think he’d press soft little kisses on her forehead when she’s asleep. he’d definitely be more protective over her as a child because her safety is the biggest priority. he’d also be the dad to wipe her tears and try and joke around by saying something like, “c’mon, this again?”
he’d watch the way you’d interact with her to try and be more natural about physical affection. i think he’d mimic you and eventually start giving her hugs and brush her hair behind her ear because he’d seen you do it.
enjoys teasing/playful banter. he has dry, sarcastic humor that she can’t help but smile at even when she doesn’t want to. i feel like she’d be telling him about drama at school and he’d be all like, “wow. and i thought my job was complicated. your teachers sure must feel underqualified.” 😭😭😭 he’s so corny i just know his daughter would be so fed up with his bullshit LMAO
lastly, he’d come to you for reassurance about her. he has his doubts sometimes. he just wants to be good for you and his daughter. he wants to know he was doing alright. he knows he’s not the most affectionate guy in the universe but he wants to make sure he’s doing all he can. he’d probably say something like, “i don’t always know what i’m doing. half the time i feel like i’m guessing.” with an awkward little laugh. he doesn’t want her to ever feel like she’s not loved just because he shows it differently. as soon as you reassure him that he’s doing great, he’d feel so much better. he’d let out a sigh of relief and be like, “…yeah? good. cause i’ve been winging it pretty hard.” ugh i love him so much protect him at all costs #weloveyouleon
nier’s note 🗒️: omg i definitely see leon being a girl dad… i mean sherry… ashley… grace… emily?!!! what more proof do you need?? this req was super fun! i love doing hcs and brainstorming it’s so good for characterization. i hope you enjoy my little brain dump i ofc tried to be a little more mindful with these:)

note. leon be taking out his guns for this—
main m.list re m.list
The scene in front of Leon is more intimidating than any zombies he has fought in his life and this man has been long acquainted with them.
"How miserable I would be and my daughter if her father were to be thrown in jail for attempted homicide." Your satire quip earned you defeaning silence from the man, who merely watches the whole scene plays out, but his hands are undeniably twitching to click something dangerous.
"Your concerns are misplaced. And even if I'm guilty, the President would undoubtedly pardon me."
"Darling, you couldn't possibly be thinking of murdering an innocent boy."
A week ago, you had new neighbours settling in with their cute boy just a year older than your daughter, you took the initiative to warmly welcome them in the neighborhood with your daughter in tow. They were just as sweet as their son, who's a lot more vibrant than your daughter.
Her personality is a carbon copy of her father— quiet and observant. Though it wasn't a hindrance for her to make friends, she just doesn't have the initiative. You're partially glad the boy is unwittingly helping your daughter to socialize more.
"He gave her roses. Those things could be dangerous." He refuted.
"Paper roses, Leon. Are you afraid of our daughter getting a paper cut?" You deadpanned.
"He could be dangerous."
"How could you say that to a cute boy?" Out of disbelief, you gesture your hand as if emphasizing the innocent display of friendship between younglings.
He raises an eyebrow. "Back in Spain, there was a time I had a young boy as my enemy. Believe me when I say he was far from cute."
You cross your arms, glaring indignantly. "And believe when I say he's harmless."
Leon sighs and glances at you, inquisitive. "You seem to be familiar with that boy."
"Duh, he's our neighbor's son. Which explains why he and our daughter will get along just fine."
A flash of emotion passed his eyes, he hummed. "...Makes it easier for me to—"
"Dad! Dad!"
His girl came running with the paper roses, the wide grin on her lips makes it seem like it's impossible to turn upside down. Even in your peripheral vision, Leon's rugged look softened drastically at the sight alone. Murder plan? Gone.
He bend down to pick her up in his arms. "What is it, sweetcheeks?"
"Look! Caelus gave me roses as thank you gift from the cookies last time."
"Cookies?" He blinked.
She nodded, revealing her uneven teeth as she presents the paper roses. "Me and mom went to them and gave them cookies."
"As what a good neighbor does." You added, giving Leon a pointed look. "Did you say thank you to Caelus, sweetie?"
"Yep! Ohh... Mom, let's introduce Dad to him!" Her face brightened significantly as she wiggles out of her father's hold and came running back to her friend, who's waving at you as a greeting.
As you wave back to the young boy, Leon stood there dumbstruck. "She hasn't even come of age yet I feel like I'm meeting her boyfriend." He murmured to himself.
You elbowed him. "Oh, come on. Are you not happy with our daughter having friends?"
"I am, and I'm not against it. But why does he have to give her roses of all things?" He seems exasperated at the idea.
"Do you prefer a Boquet?"
"No, I..." He sighs, clearly exasperated.
You merely rolled your eyes. When you first met him, he gave you the impression of a strong and unwavering man, undeterred by any distrubances. Yet here you are, a sole witness of a possible murder.
"Dad, meet Caelus! Caelus, meet my Dad!"
The said boy beamed at Leon despite being unsure how to approach an unapproachable looking guy like him. "Hello, it's nice to meet you."
Leon looked hesitant but mirrored the greeting with half assed enthusiasm. "Be kind to the child, Leon. Or you're sleeping on the couch." You whispered with a tight smile.
"Not the couch." His satire response has you slapping his arm jokingly.
