Old love doesn't rust, I guess
Got a pause from 2D art because there's no way I'll ever get an official figure, so it's time to handle it myself
i know about isabela, i played dragon age: the veilguard, but i don't KNOW isabela. and now i see her in kirkwall?? in that tavern??? having that level of badassery??? i've never been so bad for a fictional character in my whole life........
Started playing DA 2 and GOD what an improvement from DAO combat :D Also 1st time ever that i didnt custom the protag appearence even though the game alllows it! Marian Hawke looks so beautiful!! RN my party is formed by gorgeous queen Isabela, cutie pie Merrill and Fenris. Sorry for the DA sketches spam but im pretty busy with comms!
The cliffs along the Wounded Coast were sharp, as if the wind itself had spent centuries carving them against the sea. Waves crashed far below with a dull roar, leaving streaks of white foam on the rocks. I stood at the very edge of the outcrop and looked ahead, to where the grey sky blurred into the water. Somewhere beyond that horizon lay Ferelden… and with it, Lothering. A home that no longer exists. I closed my eyes, and the memories found me again. A warm kitchen. The smell of fresh bread as Mother pulled it from the oven, scolding me and Carver for stealing half of it before it even cooled. Bethany laughing nearby. Evenings by the fire, when Mother told stories about noble houses, court intrigues, and a past that had always sounded distant, almost like a fairy tale. She doesn’t tell stories anymore. Or the times I helped Father on the small farm near our home. After long hours of work in the cool morning air, he would pat me on the head and start talking about spell formulas, as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. I will never hear his voice again. "Hawke!" Varric’s cheerful shout pulled me back to the present. "You planning to throw yourself into the sea, or just standing here looking dramatic?" The dwarf walked up and stopped beside me. I opened my eyes and looked at him. Varric stood with his arms crossed, squinting against the wind. He glanced at the water, then gave me a suspicious look. "You alright?" he asked, more quietly this time. For a moment I looked back at the horizon. The memories faded like mist over the waves. Ferelden was out there, beyond the sea. The past too. And here… things were different. Kirkwall had given me more trouble than I ever asked for. But it had given me good things too. Varric was one of them. I took a deep breath and smiled at my favorite dwarf. "I’m fine, Varric. Really." He watched me for another second, like he was deciding whether to believe me, then snorted softly. "Alright then. Come on, Chuckles. The others are waiting for you." I gave the sea one last look before stepping away from the edge of the cliff. Sometimes the past stays beyond the horizon. And maybe… that’s the way it should be.

I'll say it's a weird Venn diagram for my canon Hawke & canon Tav in regards to their love interests and playlists
Aveline: Donnic thinks I'm punishing him? But Hightown is a safe patrol. A reward. Hawke: You wanted his reaction. Aveline: (Sighs) All right, I can fix this. I need… I need three goats and a sheaf of wheat. You'll take them to his mother. Hawke: ... Aveline: It's a dowry tradition. Maybe it will smooth the process. Varric: I think my jaw just landed in the Deep Roads somewhere. Aveline: Not a word, dwarf. Varric: I wouldn't dream of mocking your… unconventional courtship.
