you know what’s so fucked about the d4vd murder investigation (beyond Celeste’s age & the fact that this is a homicide) — is that he did everything so unapologetically publicly. he was reckless and grieving in his own fucked up way, writing viral songs about killing her and throwing funerals at his concerts. he romanticized her murder, treating his crime with the world as his stage, fulfilling his own twisted needs instead of reconciling with how utterly sick and terrible he is. i do think he, at times, felt bad for killing Celeste (footage of him crying at his concerts, and the things he reposted on tiktok about being a bad person) — but he’s too mentally ill and too selfish to truly care about the blood on his hands. if he really cared, he’d have turned himself in. if he really cared selflessly about her, he’d never have gotten into a relationship with Celeste, or stayed with her upon finding out she was a young teenager. if he really cared about her, he wouldn’t have done one of— if not the— worst thing anyone could ever possibly do to another human being.
he ruined that child’s life and ended Celeste’s life so harshly. she’ll never get real justice because she’s dead. her family and her friends all fucking failed her and I personally think that they should feel guilty. to not be aware of what’s going on in your kid’s life is to let harm come to them. And I don’t know if d4vd ever expected to be caught, but everything about this is wild.
