“Oh, fuck,” Fig says. She spits it back into her cup.

“Don’t be dramatic.”

“Oh, you fucked up.” Adaine says. “You both fucked up.”

“This is just bad baby milk with flavor,” Fabian says. Kristen sees him struggle to swallow.

Kristen chokes a little. “This is so much worse than bad baby milk. This may have been your worst idea yet.”

“It’s festive!” Fabian says. He gags. “This is eggnog, Kristen. A delicacy.”

“It’s cream and vodka and nutmeg” Fig coughs. “Isn’t it?”

“Well, yeah,” Gorgug says. He at least looks fine. Lucky. “That’s how it said to make it.”

“Rum,” Adaine says. She looks more like Aelwyn than Kristen’s ever noticed, probably because she’s sneering at the glass of eggnog like it insulted her magic. “You’re supposed to use rum.”

“It’s the same thing,” Fabian says, waving it off.

“It’s alcohol,” Gorgug adds.

“This is poison,” Fig says. “You poisoned all of us.”

“Hey, guys I’m back with the – what the hell is that?”

Kristen reaches out and grabs one of the beers out of the box in Riz’s hands. She chugs it. “Oh, my god, that’s so much better.”

“These were warm,” Riz says. He looks horrified. Kristen doesn’t care. Her mouth no longer tastes like death.

Gorgug is easiest bc I think Zac got it immediately with Porter making him do four years of school in one and Gorgugs response being It's cool if you're really interested in my future but it's/mine/ like go off my man

Fabian wanting his dad to understand was super fair, but tbh I would have picked Hallariel leaving him him alone with none of the house staff with barely a word after not seeing him for the whole summer. That Killed me

Kristen I had two thoughts about. One, that she had gone through so much with her parents and it wasn't enough to like save her brothers from having to do the same thing. The other thing was the fact that she could be an absolute genius of a cleric, do everything she needed for class and then was failed after the fact.

Fig honestly, I woulda thought was gonna be about how her parents treated her after she turned out to be a tiefling like talk abt the sins of the father mother

Tbh I thought Adaines was gonna be that she's like a kid and was expected to provide a barrelful of diamonds for her highschool classes bc that's insane and something that could probably actually be fixed
