just thinking about him being so defensive about his favorite books being middle grade kids books. like obviously it’s played for bits but ALSO him saying that it’s not that the books got worse as they went on, it’s that max lost his sense of wonder as he grew up UGHH
the way he was such an “old soul” as a child (wearing cadswich’s suit, talking overly formally) but then in adulthood is treated as a child by his family.. the neurodivergent experience of never “acting your age”
+ his “tone issues”, being so unfunny to the other characters, not knowing if someone is making fun of him

finally finally got around to finishing cloho after busy weeks and oh my god i was bawling my eyes out at that ending (it's so hard when you're both on the verge of laughing and crying at the same time) the epilogue was absolutely so perfect for each of their characters
i have absolutely fallen so in love with these characters and this world and they feel so real and nuanced and i just love this so much the subscription is so worth it for the fact that i got to watch this masterpiece from start to finish
(god i love the fact that olethra and ludmila are basically canon thank you sapphics)
