Cherish’s photo was super unappreciated. Like most of the girls this week the bottom half of the shot is a wreck, but from waist up it’s actually kind of fantastic. The hand position is over-the-top but still works, and the dress looks awesome. I also love her facial expression here, she looks like an old time-y movie star. This was one of few standouts in a weak bunch.

This photo is a better version of Binta’s shot, but still suffers from some of the same problems. Her neck looks wider at this angle, even if she has managed to keep its length. I do think it actually showcases her beauty though. Justine’s face is gorgeous, though I wish the expression was a bit more confident. She went soft, and it is reading as slightly scared. Her hair also looks incredible here. In spite of these flaws though, I definitely think this succeeds as a comp card; all of Justine’s assets are shown well, and that is its main qualification.

While Cherish’s look has an aesthetic edge, CoryAnne’s shot is somehow more divine. She outclassed everyone. Again though, it wasn’t as if I hated CoryAnne’s look. She was definitely had features I’ve adored in models in the past; caramel skin, gorgeous curly hair, soft yet interesting face. Remind you of anyone else I’ve shown love for? Yeah. Anyways, all of those are shown here. Her bone structure looks so gorgeous; that jawline and those cheekbones…heavenly. The relaxed body language and extended neck are incredible too. Finally, the powerful, yet subtle expression sets it all off. It is engaged, yet not overpowering. Tyra always said she managed to book jobs with only handful of shots, and I honestly believe CoryAnne could book jobs with only this.

In the first official battle of the twins, Tash won without much competition. The body positioning here is perfect for a comp card; I love the simplicity, and slight symmetry. Tash’s arm positioning is interesting enough, without distracting from her face, and allows the shot to showcase her gorgeous collar bones. Her face looks so beautiful at this angle, and I love the simple, calmness of her expression; she is serving beauty straight-on. The key feature though is how incredibly beautiful Tash’s skin looks. Of all the shots this week, I could see skin care companies raving over this photograph, it shows Tash is brimming with potential. An incredibly strong start for Tash.

As I said before, the top 6 this week were all sensational, but Marissa and India’s just sit slightly below the others. I am splitting hairs here, but India’s shot is a bit less polished than the rest. She clearly knows how to work her angles; her face looks incredible here, especially the shapes of her eyes. Without a doubt India could get booked off this shot. The difference between this and the top 4 though are those look like photos I could see in a spread. India’s hair is so flat, and since she is just wearing a black shirt the whole thing is a bit more pedestrian. If the styling was just amped up a bit then it would definitely be on par with the others.

Tatiana’s shot is great. If I was given all 14 shots, and casting only a few, this would be show me Tatiana has a good look, and photographs well. Unfortunately, if I was casting those who stood out, she would fall out of contention probably with Paige and Cody. There is nothing that interesting about this photograph. Tatiana looks beautiful, and she is serving attitude with her body. I feel like her overall presence is great, but the actual physicality of her beauty isn’t jumping out at me.

From here on, the photos are pretty much fine. Krislian looks very pretty here, and her body is amazing. I find the positioning of the left arm is overly dramatic, and completely unnecessary, but other than that the photo works. The arch in the back is killer, and her expression is soft, if a bit boring. As it stands I just find Krislian straddles the border between comp card, and acting head shot. Like Binta, I feel like had Krislian simplified her pose the show would have been a lot stronger.

I really didn’t care for this shoot. Only a few pictures were decent and most of the girls turned in mediocre to terrible performances.
