Welp I’m attempting to watch cyborg 009 2000s adaptation because I need to make myself see if I can do or like longer shows and rewatching Kikaider with a oomf motivated me more.

In the iconic anime series Cyborg 009 by Shotaro Ishinomori, scenes featuring Joe Shimamura (Cyborg 009) reuniting with his late mother—often when he is just a baby in her arms—serve as poignant, emotional flashbacks or surreal dream sequences tied to his tragic and lonely upbringing.

Joe was born to a Japanese mother and an American father, but faced profound hardship from the start. His mother was forced to leave the infant Joe on the steps of a Catholic church to protect him before passing away shortly after. Raised by the kindly priest who found him, Joe grew up grappling with feelings of isolation and abandonment, which deeply fueled his troubled, rebellious youth prior to his cybernetic transformation.

These flashbacks usually emphasize Joe's search for identity and a longing for the family he never truly knew. They act as a core emotional anchor for his character, motivating his fight against the malicious Black Ghost organization and his desire to protect the innocent.

I have been on a art spree for a couple days and I am currently working on other art pieces that have started recently after discovering new songs on Spotify.

Hearing this song made me think of Françoise so much, since she has heightened senses (sight and sound more specifically). Hearing all sorts of noise from either very far away or close to you has got to be a huge nightmare 24/7. Poor Françoise.
