Kayleigh Hartland is completing an IT audit internship with TE Connectivity in Berwyn, Pa., this summer. She is an information assurance/cyber defense major from Kent, Wash.
“Having a well-rounded business education was a big benefit for this internship,” Kayleigh said. “Being confident and being able to put myself out there is also a quality that is highly desired, especially in auditing. I gained the confidence to do that through my education and activities on campus.”
Aside from her coursework, Kayleigh was involved in Associated Students of Northern Michigan University, the student government at NMU. She was also a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and currently serves as the president of the Student Cyber Security Association, which she helped to organize.
“As a student, my favorite memory has been seeing students work hard and take advantage of the opportunities they have to better themselves,” Kayleigh said. “I love being able to see people improve and learn, and be able to use it to help themselves and the community around them.”
