he had got in an accident and severely damaged his right temporal lobe. in his world, this means the damaged part will be replaced with that of someone else's- usually a bunch of bits and pieces mushed together but cyrus recieved a full right temporal lobe from someone else named tyler.

what was soon learned was that that part of tyler's brain still held his consciousness, including memories, emotions, and urges, including the overwhelming compulsion to steal things. cyrus has had to communicate with and combat against this part similar to plurality in real life.

he refers to themselves as cy-ti at one point and considers himself as 7/8 cyrus and 1/8 tyler- two consciousnesses sharing one body

“No, you have to hold the bell in front of your hand.”

Camus Comprix firmly adjusts Cy-Fi’s wrist, pressing his chest against Cy’s back as his legs tire. They’d been at this for what feels like hours, Cam’s minute corrections weighing on his muscles and patience. Though that speaks nothing of Cy himself, legs half-bent for what might as well be the last hour, drops of sweat running down his forehead from the strain.

He’s been holding the épée so long that his fingers have grown numb, the handle nearly slipping from his palm. Cam corrects it, again, before nudging Cy’s leg with his own back to a near-perfect right angle.

It’s the final straw for Cy, or perhaps Cy’s muscles, as he finally sinks down to the floor. He stretches his legs, knee joints popping in chorus with Cam’s sigh.

“You can do better, you know.”

Cy frowns at Cam’s comment, staring at himself in the full-length mirror. His hair is frazzled, a stark contrast to Cam, somehow still the picture on a magazine cover. Strands of his multi-coloured hair fall across his forehead, having fallen out of his previously-tight bun. His eyes, mismatched, are focused down to the habitual furrow in his brow, and even the dark circles under them do little but define his face. The pinnacle of humanity, as he was advertised.

“Been at this for hours, man. Maybe if ya let off’a me for a sec, I’d get myself back together.”

Cam pokes the small of Cy’s back in response, eliciting a small yelp.

“Go drink some water, Cyrus. That should be enough of ‘a sec’ for you.”

“My legs ain’t workin’ right, dude! ‘Least help me up here.”

Cam rolls his eyes, idly tucking a curl of Cy’s hair back under his headband. His arms- Tyler’s arms -speak to something in Cy’s frontal lobe, and even if his current muscles can’t handle it, micro-movements curl his fingers around the sword’s hilt with a familiarity Cy shouldn’t posses. He leans back, bumping against Cam’s legs with a toothy grin up to the rewind.

“Perhaps that’s why your endurance is so terrible,”

When Tyler through Cy-Fi was begging his parents to not Unwind him, although he already was, and how his parents just cower in fear.

When Lev almost kills Tyler's parents to get them to tell an already unwound kid to not unwind him. He was ready to kill them without remorse.
