random hc for the day but i like to headcanon that masaomi has gold eyes which is why bokushi is depicted as having a golden eye. when bokushi first emerges he's the manifestation of what oreshi needs in that moment - stability and power. he sees his mother (red eyes) and the comfort and stability she provides/used to provide, but also the power and control of his father to live up to the akashi name.
i imagine this is part of why oreshi is so conflicted when it comes to bokushi later on as, despite the comfort he brings, whenever he 'looks' at him he still sees his father and part of him absolutely hates that, that he has parts of his father that he looks up to or idolizes--but at the same time, he craves that validation and power and control that he's finding harder and harder to maintain in his daily life.
So I've been watching my partner play through the Yakuza: Like a Dragon series, and the two main games in that series have some of the worst disability rep I've seen in a LONG time, but it's so bad that it loops back around to being absolutely hilarious to anyone who knows anything at all about disability and wheelchair use specifically. I AM disappointed that I only learned about these games after I wrote about some of the tropes they used though, because my god, they are literally textbook examples 😂
Disclaimer, this post is mostly a joke, I know Yakuza is not exactly the most serious game out there but it was so bad on this front that it got more than a few laughs out of me and I wanted to jokingly rant about it. This is not a serious post. I'm also not saying the games are bad, in fact I have enjoyed the sillyness and campyness, just the way they handle disability, specifically isn't good.
(Heavy Spoilers for both Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth ahead)
A Really Cool Update (promisies)
Hi, folks! I have a writing update to give y'all. I actually started writing a book this week. I don't want to give too many details, but it's a lesbian romance dark fantasy novel set in a world that is a giant incorporation of most of my Really Sick Ideas, like Fae, Faerals (one of the two mains is a Faeral like Loche >:3), and a world of supernatural creatures existing alongside humans.
Now, I don't want to get y'all too riled up because you never know, maybe I lose interest, maybe I have a mental health crisis or medical crisis, y'know. A lot has happened over the years that always crashed my writing process early in which lead to me losing steam on a project. But I feel really good about this one. I have the outline perfect, with all the story beats and major scenes planned. I am also adding in some of my favorite things from my normal IF writing (hello villain POV!), and to be honest guys, I haven't felt this eager and on point with a project since 2017/2018 when I started Mind Games, which should tell you something.
But, I digress. I mainly came here to announce I have a project, and to celebrate hitting 12,000 words! I'll do another celebratory and update post for the following word counts:
25,000 <- At this number, I'll start regularly releasing snippets of the book.
35,000
42,000
50,000 <- At this count I may start gathering the resources to get the book cover done.
60,000
70,000
80,000
Every 10,000 words after this, if we reach this point.
So far, I do not have a word count expectancy nor chapter number, I'm just kind of vibing like I normally do. But I'm expecting at least 50,000+ words (as I'm not even a quarter of the way through my outline and we're at 12,000 words, and chapters continue to get longer), and maybe at least 20 chapters.
If you have any questions, concerns, etc you know where to find me! Have a good week, and see you at 25,000 words >:)
What do you think of helcass/helendra
Ykw. Ancient Yuri Breakdown
This Is A Lot So It'll Be In Lowercase So It's Readable
Okay, the dynamic hits hard. Perfectly imperfect traumatized woman x the cursed princess of Troy.
I think that in one of my War Is Over Early AUs, this ship would be one of the main focuses. I like to think that Cassandra, as usual, would start out hating Helen with her entire soul considering she nearly gotten her kingdom burned to ash. But, as their story goes, she starts learning why Menelaus loved Helen—not just because of her beauty but also her personality.
Of course, there's also aspects where it could be toxic during Cassandra's journey in trying to understand Helen and learning to like (well, love) her. There would also be obstacles like Priam not accepting it, or Menelaus or Alexandros trying to separate them.
BUT all this is an exception to a normal Iliad AU.
In a normal Iliad AU—hell yeah, betrothed yuri. We have the sacking of Troy, Cassandra falling in love with Helen and sharing secret nights with her behind her family's back, Menelaus nearly killing Helen before his resolve faded at the sight of the robeless form, Helen being Paris' beloved, Agamemnon taking Cassandra.
I love Agassandra too, don't get me wrong, but that isn't what we're talking about right now.
My headcanons for these two is that Cassandra is lesbian/aroace/transfem (she/her) and Helen is bisexual/graysexual/fem-leaning genderqueer (she/he/they).
In my eyes, though, Helen x Cassandra is a pretty solid ship, considering I don't ship many lesbian couples in media less it's canon in the show, movie, series, book, etc. I don't have many lesbian nor female OCs even. So, being asked about a lesbian ship concerning the Iliad really makes me happy because, as I mentioned, I don't have enough lesbian ships.

Hiya! I just wanted to ask you about your fnaf au in which the animatronics are not child ghosties. I've seen the art and I'm in love and would like to know more if you are okay with sharing! (P.S, I love your art and your style It's awesome! And specifically the piece of Freddy x Puppet cuddling is so cute!)
thank you!! I haven't put much thought into the au admittedly, the only major difference is that the animatronics aren't possessed and they all align with my own headcanons, I'm still sort of workshopping it, but it's mainly just so that I can draw ship art of the characters without people putting my head on a stake for "shipping dead kids" (which I don't, I ship the animatronic characters themselves, and I've had people try to cancel and harass both me and my partner for it), I'm hoping to give a more cohesive overarching plot to it in the future but until then it's basically just my headcanons and ships without the child murder, but I have also been working on a daycare au!! (inspired by the fazbear daycare ask comic!!) so stay tuned in case I ever get around to finishing that lmao ✨️
