"SEATTLE FIRE,â jack announces as he enters one of the dressing rooms. itâs one of the smaller venues in the city, but a notable one for many bands that had gone on to not only pursue their dreams, but achieve them. booking the place is an impressive feat for a band from chicago, or at least thatâs what he thinks. but what does he know? he doesnât work in music, just a fan of the band slated to play there tonight. or rather, their singer.  ââ sorry guys, we got a call about a gas leak. iâm going to need you all to vacate the building...â
they small group of people collected into the room, perhaps all of them musicians, have no reason to believe him: he isnât exactly wearing his fire gear, just a t-shirt with the station 19 logo prominently displayed. heâd attempted to talk dean into coming with him, but his friend had better things to do on his day off. it seemed heâd have to face the girl from his past on his own. he wonders if sheâll even recognize him after all these years. he canât help but smirk as he catches a glimpse of her, although attempts to remain composed, keeping himself broad-shouldered, as if this were an actual emergency. âmust be a strong one, too. I think I might already be hallucinating...â the words are in jest and he tosses his hand to the side as if to signal to all in attention that itâs a joke. "jacqueline, is that you?â
