#cx 2

Well thats what I think. But I'm very big on "let the dead be dead" thing. Also because of real live things. And I'm not calling anyone who headcannons this stupid. But I just find it a fitting end for Tech to die like a bird falling out of the sky while they gave Crosshair all the bird symbolisem. Also I'm dyslexic and can't write for shit so I'm still begging for someone to write a fic about something like this. (I was tagged in one amd enjoyed is very much but I am greedy). Something like them actually taking the knocked out cx-2 with them because they two thought it was Tech to almost be disapointed when they see an unchained Crosshair instead. This also sparring some anger in the other Crosshair who they now also assosiate again with the empire because they unconsously STILL think he can not change.

CX2 is not an assassin he’s an operative, wich is why he is more important than the other assassins.

Hemlock had already been working on the operatives when he “acquired” Tech. Using non clone bases and essentially Frankensteining them into his operatives. But while they allowed the operatives to have non human capabilities and advantages the alien bases he used were harder to work with than clones so they weren’t yet ready for action. He was having trouble making them more than mindless zombies.

When Tech fell he died. He was only able to be resuscitated due to Hemlocks advanced technology and medical know how. But he was in a coma when Hemlock started altering him. He was a much easier blueprint to work with, and being enhanced for intelligence his brain was beautiful to hemlock, allowing him tp finally creat and intelligent and stable operative. He is the only operative that can speak.

Like th other operatives he did do some form of freinkenstining somewhat to repair Tech’s heavily damaged body and partially to give him more physical enchantments. He used mostly organic materials from other cadavers but also some level of cybernetics.

His Left eye was damaged from the glass of his goggle lens shattering in the impact it was replaced with a cybernetic eye wich is bright blue (no longer brown eyes). The other lense didn’t shatter but due to optic nerve damage in the fall he is mostly blind in his right eye. It was not replaced because the physical eye was not damaged. And the cybernetic eye in Hemlocks view gave him all the sight capabilities he needed due to it essentially having all the capabilities of Tech’s original goggles and visor.

Hemlock was suprised by CX2’s fast recovery from experiments and the fact that he was ready for combat before any of the other operatives that he had been working on for far longer. Hemlock takes a lot of pride in that, until the other operatives are ready because they have more capabilities than CX2 despite being less stable, so he begins to care about CX2 less and less.

CX2 has none of Tech’s memories. It’s kind of a winter soldier situation. They’re there they’re just dormant. But some of Tech is left in his personality. He also subconsciously modled his shooting style after Crosshair.

He doesn’t particularly like Hemlock and he finds the jobs he’s assigned to be beneath him. Until his attack on the clone base. He was actually supposed to report back after that misson but refused to return without success and travled on to pabu without hemlocks permission. When he returned he gave his gear being damaged as an excuse.

No one.

He probably just heard a mouse droid or something.

Not the doctor. No way.

He took off his helmet and breathed in the cold, sterile air. Breathing through the helmet hadn’t been his choice.

Lots of things weren’t his choice.

The doctor made a lot of choices for him. Not all of them he enjoyed, or he thought they needed his consent. The doctor never asked consent, he just… did it.

Cx-2 shivered. It almost felt like a hand was creeping up his lower back to his neck—

He swiveled around.

Nothing.

An emotionless voice came from behind now, in the hallway.

“Why is your helmet off?”

Cx-2 spun around.

“S-sir I—“ Cx-2 attempted to explain himself.

“Put it back on,” Hemlock snapped out each word, “we don’t want anyone to get any ideas, now do we?”

His voice gained emotion. Cx-2—for not the first time talking to the doctor—fear. Hemlock’s eyes drifted around his body.

Cx-2 avoided his eyes. He focused on the gloved hand. He hated seeing what was under it. It scared him.

He placed the helmet back on.

Satisfied, Hemlock nodded and continued down the hall.

Cx-2 made to his bunk and removed his helmet once more.

“What happened, Tech?”
