I just remembered that when I wrote the finale to Change with the Tides, I was worried people would think 13k words was too much for a single chapter. I've doubled it for the Midnight Strangers finale and I'm still NOT DONE.

I just read Change with the Tides by @seriouslycalamitous (who also made Midnight Strangers) and I couldnāt help but make some art of Captain Scar (I based his outfit of his Pirate SMP skin) and parrot Grian (I feel like I made Grian a little too bigā¦ oh well). I decided to make Grianās pupils more square and add a bit of a dirty blond color to some of his feathers, just so he can have a few Grian qualities and to show that he is not a normal parrot.
I'm starting a calligraphy class tomorrow!
I've decided I'm gonna write out a bunch of quotes from @seriouslycalamitous, so send me your favorite quotes, whether thats from calam's fanfics, streams, or tumblr posts. The funnier, cooler, or more dramatic the better.

Working on a āChange with the Tidesā animatic, and I have like 2 frames mostly finished of a 3 minute song.
the isnt THE CwtT animatic I've been thinking abt for around 2 years (that one is to the song āthe horror and the wildā) but the one I desperately want to do has more movement and better art than my current skill level lol.
I finally listened to āAnd the houndā by Yalokore, and I was like,,, this is litterly CwtT!Scars' backstory. so here's baby CwtTwScar, in the middle of a mob.

we'll see how my motivation is. And whether I can draw adult scar. And Grian. idk, lately I feel like my art has been regressing, so idk how I feel abt the faces of the storyboard I have for this. but yeah, thisll be a nightmare/flashback for adult scar.
This is scene isnt in the story, but is a personal headcannon that takes place after he lost his family, but before the story starts.
I'm going to be drawing the massicure of his village as the verse that comes next. I headcannon that after the loss, he later stumbled upon a village, and being a traumatized child, seeks help, before learning that no help will be given to Vex in places like these.
OMG i js saw your ask on @seriouslycalamitous acct i genuinely recommend with my whole heart to read some of their other fics! They are genuinely my favorite author on Ao3 and i love their other fics, if your looking for a short one their NYE one is really good (i canāt remember the name)and if your looking for a longer fic i absolutely love Change With The Tides!
