I went to the library after my tutorial to see how creatives manage text and image on posters. I particularly liked these ones as they balance text and additional elements really well. I at some point during my development started thinking that everything on poster designs should be centered in order to look like a poster but these proved me wrong. It is not really about the alignment of elements, proficiency increases when the composition is thought through and each element has its own role and meaning. 

I went on a walk to New Forest and decided to take photos of leaves and plants I come across. This would help me to use some of the shapes as an inspiration for my patterns. I really enjoyed the process of looking for unique forms and I aim to continue doing this in the next couple of days to create a collection of plant types in my area. 

During this exploration, I allowed myself to freely experiment to discover unexpected outcomes, shapes, and colour solutions. I particularly enjoyed working with acrylic paint as it created a deeper connection with my illustrations, enabling more personal meaning. In comparison to the digital version, my physical drawing of the pink plant (elaeocarpus bojeri) has depth and identity. This experience has inspired me to explore painting further, as it allows a more organic and natural look of the elements.
