there is something so tender about that moment when two people who have known each other forever start crossing that invisible line between friendship and romantic love. like suddenly all the intimacy that was already there means something slightly different and neither of them really knows what to do with it. and imagine it around 1998 too, when Liam is completely off the rails half the time. drugs, alcohol, groupies, the whole chaos of being Liam Gallagher at that point in his life.

and sure, maybe they sleep together sometimes, maybe there has always been that physical side lurking somewhere between them, but it is not really about the sex. it is the YEARS of knowing each other.

she knew him before all of this. she knows exactly how irritating he is, what he looks like hungover in the morning, what makes him laugh, what he is afraid of, what he is like when there is no audience around.

she is one of the only people who can pull him down from that pedestal everyone else has put him on and remind him that underneath all the fame and bravado, he is still just Liam.

and THAT is what destroys me about them. everyone else gets the rockstar. she gets the boy she has known for years. 😭
