(sometimes I just write random lil stories Teehee) Oliver was a wandering boy with his head in the clouds. he was a boy who was polite and fancied the fall. he wasn’t afraid to dance with the wind, and he loved buttons and corduroy and pockets. Oliver loved many things, but he especially loved a certain stuffed bear. one cloudy autumn day, he sat back on his bed, and began to read stories by candlelight. But that day he just couldn’t focus. His bear had gone missing and, his parents had said he was too old to play with toys and “fool around” all day anymore. He was expected to acquire a job as soon as that Saturday, which was only a day away. All his life, Oliver would create stories in his head, but he was usually alone. When other children would notice him, they would usually taunt him and ignore his offers to play together, and Oliver would always leave them with his hands in his pockets, adjusting his glasses, sighing, and walking away, with his head down, ashamed. Oliver was about 14 now, and his parents wanted him to dress, to act more masculine then he was. But he couldn’t help admiring the sparrows that landed on the birch branch adjacent to his window and writing poems instead of chopping wood with an axe, or hunting, could he? In fact, he’d rather not hunt. Oliver’s only friends were the bugs and critters that roamed the forest, after all, and he berry picked and foraged for food anyways.  (lemme know if you like it,, maybe i’ll make a part 2?)

It’s #squirrelappreciationday ! Though I gotta say the little guys are really taking advantage of their special day. I’ve had 3 gray squirrels on my bird feeder since this morning. They knocked down the baffle, broke one of the perches and somehow opened the top! Maniacs!
