These freshly made donuts are the ideal centerpiece for your event. They are simple to prepare and can be tailored to your guests' tastes by adding different toppings.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting. Assorted toppings chocolate glaze, sprinkles, etc..
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Stirring constantly, combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a dough. On a surface dusted with flour, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. Using a donut cutter or a round cookie cutter with a smaller one for the holes, cut out the shapes of donuts. In a deep pan, heat the oil to 350F 175C. Fry donuts carefully for one to two minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Use paper towels to drain any extra oil. After dipping them in chocolate glaze and dusting them with powdered sugar, the warm donuts can be decorated with sprinkles. Present and savor!
