This sheath was made for the upcoming Pearl Ellis art Exhibit on March 1st.
This leather Sheath was tooled in #hermanoakleather and features a birch bark braid pattern, signifying the interwoven nature of community.
I chose a combination of leather lace and copper hardware to compliment the look of the piece and as a nod to our indigenous metalworking practices.

It may be dated, but I'm still pleased with how this long wallet turned out back in 2019, especially with it being my first attempt at making a wallet. The cover design was done using stamp tools and a swivel knife, and the card sleeves were all handcut & sewn together. While it doesn't get any use nowadays, it does still like to sit pretty on my shelf.
After spilling a couple drops of fountain pen ink on my Galen Leather pen case 😭, I thought… YOLO. May as well experiment and mess with it to see what happens! 🎉
I used iron-on patches for the leather but attached them with E6000 craft glue. To permanently attach them, I need to actually SEW them on. But I don’t have any leather needles (or skills, lol), so I experimented with extra strength glue. Plus, I’m pretty sure I can just rip these off, buff and polish the leather again, and it’ll go back to just being a nice “British Tan” brown.
… In fact, shortly after this video, I decided to do just that and took off the patches. 😂 It didn’t damage the leather. It just removed a layer of polish, and all it took was re-polishing and buffing the leather with a soft cloth to give it a nice even look. WHEEE!! Lol. Making the mistakes so you don’t have to. 😂
I’m excited to see how the leather ages and fades with this polish and conditioner!
Had leather made for the blade I made for myself. Absolutely beautiful Nile Crocodile on leather in a frog style carry.
