A custom queerplatonic flag depicting Spongebob and Patrick.
This is inspired by the headcanon/interpretation that Spongebob and Patrick are queerplatonic.

I've only just recently began delving into MOGAI proper as a means of seeking out a better understanding of my own gender and sexuality and the complexities there within. As a result, I discovered recently that a queerplatonic flag exists. Upon seeing it, I immediately drew comparison between the colors on the flag with the colors of Spongebob and Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants. I thought this was a pretty funny coincidence, because I think Spob and Pat could actually be interpreted to have this kind of relationship. So, I decided to make a custom queerplatonic flag.
The first flag is more of a custom creation, featuring a greater variation in grey bars. The second is directly inspired by the heart variant of the queerplatonic flag.
I feel as if the first flag design is more visually appealing. The gradient of bars can be interpreted as a gradient of different queerplatonic experiences.
I should also note, I traced a well-known official stock image of Spongebob and Patrick for the creation of this custom flag.
