THE REALIZATION OF A DREAM.
Know one ever tells you that making a dream come true will cost many things as you head down the path of fulfilling it. I’ve learned to pick my choses better out of the necessity of survival. Some things are doable while others might have to wait a little longer to make happen. This is one of those moments for me 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
🌟transitioned🌟 one of my haibara’s into kirara
I love haibara, but if i pull him from a blind box one more time 🫠
so i painted and dyed one to make my queen kirara
Okok so i did a custom miku fig
Took me only two days !!

Made a calico critter display of the black lodge🌲☕️
Making a Meatlug (semi-final part?)
I'm sorry, but I am NOT detailing the sculpting anymore; I think I've covered the hard parts, and the more ??? part would be painting Meatlug. The terrible terror.... Er. Rip.
Step one; a basecoat - you can have a primer base if you want, but have found that it doesn't have any affect. The base colour will be that before any patterns are added, in this case, orange.
Ive found a mix of orange, red, yellow and light brown works well for her colour, but I'd suggest using a direct reference from the httyd movie.
Once thats dry-ish, you can add (drybrush) the lighter colour meatlug has. I used a matte gold for this. I brushed over her sides, the "armpit" of her wings, lightly brushed the entire wing and the edges, as well as the legs. The legs here are mostly to make the undervelly colour fade a bit less jarring.
Next up, add (drybrush) her darker colouration; this can easily be just brown. Apply to Meatlug's neck, the seam of where her first tail segment meets her body and the seam where her second tail segment meets the first, as well as her head on the tips of of wing ears, nostrils, nose horn and eyes.
Now, once thats dry, you can do the hopefully last bit of drybrushing(?) - her underbelly colour. This goes (unsurprisingly) on her stomach, chin, undertail and feet.
Now that a gradient for that has been accomplished, its time for her underbelly scales - i did this by layering thick stripes on her underbelly
Once she's nice and dry, it's time to start her spots - while gray, they are purple/blue. While from what i can tell they are blue in light and purple in shadow, but I don't have paint that manages this effect, so I'm layering blue on areas of light and purple elsewhere.
For the blue, it will cover her legs, top of her tail, by her ear-wings, trailing from her neck under her "ears" to under her eyes, the tip of her nose, the lip of her bottom jaw in high amounts of spatter and decreasing to "fade" to purple. Her torso, from her back to her underbelly has a lighter spattering as it's going to be an equal mix of blue and purple.
Next up, part 3 - hopefully the final part!
