Thursday night- pizza night - and my thoughts drift back a couple weeks back to the past to our Italian summer holiday... #pizza #homemadepizza While making my own home-made pizzas this early evening (Parma ham, olives from B&B Bellavista Paggi, ...), I pulled out this Curvi from 32 Via dei Birrai (Onigo di Pederobba, Italy), a more than decent Italian Witbier (with spelt, coriander & orange peel). Thx Egidio & Lorenzo. #curvi #viadeibirrai #italianbeer #birra Later, with my limone and mango sorbet, I pulled out this Sour Marina 2020, made by friend Andreas’ son of Brescia’s Spine, and oh what a nice, dry, refreshing surprise! Nicely lightly carbonated, rich Amarena cherries (my guess, at least; a sweet Italian variety, dark red in color), decent tartness, cherry pits, drying dry woody tannins, mild yeasty funk (perhaps too young, headed in the right direction, it’s got potential), ... loved it.
