Re-reading part of That Ol' Devil Called Love and man, I need to revive Curt the Boxer and Manager Marge. They were so much fun.
*drags cigarette* who wants the long awaited t boy John and t boy Curt working at Starbucks together au (it takes place in 2015/16)
So in my heart Curt lives, but he hit his head massively and got a tbi when landing to try and save Dickie and this gave him memory loss he struggles with for the rest of his life. His memory comes and goes, but for the rest of the war and a bit after, he's left picking up the pieces as he slowly heals. (Obviously some days are worse than others when it comes to his memory).
Curt who only remembers waking up in the plane and getting captured next to a dead body
Curt who only knows what he was told by the Germans about himself. Which is only shit that hurts him.
Curt being moved to one of the bigger stalags before the gang is moved there. The gang seeing curt through the fences as they walk and rushing over to him.
Curt's only reaction being a very quiet, very beat-down, "You know who I am?"

I choose What if Flirting is part of work? by @skyyguy. It's such a funny moment of Bucky teasing Gale and Curt being there for the ride. I love reading Sky's writing and all their AUs. Their characters never fail to capture me and they write whump scenes amazingly well and, as you can see in this fic, they also manage to do sweet and funny fics too. So here's Bucky leaning over the fence to flirt with Gale.

John had been too chicken shit, too scared to take that final step. If he took that final step then he was really a sinner, he was really gay then. If he let Curt inside of him, more than just his fingers or tongue, then John was going to hell.
But if Johnny Brady, the man who’s in the chapel more often than even John is, could take Benny DeMarco inside of him. Then John could stop being so hung up on his beliefs. He’s going to hell anyways, might as well enjoy his time before he fizzles out of this life.
