Bullet watched him with an amused smile, all sober chaos, dick swinging, calling her bluff. She had said she wasn't going to do this ever again, that she was done with the fighting and fucking and waking up next to Jimmy Hopkins. She had said that so many times and it was all just a pack of lies. Just a group of many she'd told herself over the years.
Just like if maybe they married, he'd settled a little, stay for once, and they could be a little happy, every now and then.
"You really think I'm playin'? Like I'd play like that?" She snorted, slipping her t-shirt down her body, no bra, no problem. Bullet guffawed at his show of money, as if that impressed her now. Sure, it once had, but that was a long time ago, when she was trying to scam him out of it.
Once she pulled her jeans back on, she approached him, placed her hands on his chest, peered up at him. "I'm serious, Jimmy. I know you're serious too, now, but I really think we should. I wanna marry you."
