I’m trying so hard. I really am.

I’m sorry for the days that I let overwhelm speak louder than my love. I’m sorry for the days that my patience ran thin. I’m sorry that you had to feel the weight of things you were never meant to carry. I’m sorry for the unheeded parts of me that sometimes spill into your world.

But please remember, above everything else, I loved you in every version of me. Through every mistake, every season, and every messy moment.

The overwhelm and the overstimulation is burning me out.

I’m drowning in life. Between motherhood and being a full time employee and also trying to just be a woman in her 30s. And then feel I guilty because I know I should be able to handle this all effortlessly.

I think I just need to recharge. I need a break from the pressure, the planning, the remembering, the making sure it’s all taken care of. I need a chance to breathe because this life doesn’t really give me the ability to do that.

I’m human too.
