Recently I was guest bartender for my kids school fundraising party, “Havana Nights”. I made cocktails for a Cause which featured 3 classic Cuban cocktails, all with fresh lime juice, homemade cara cara orange simple syrup and a whole lotta love. The cocktails of the evening featured The Classic Daquiri, El Presidente, and The Floridita which is also known as The Hemingway Special. Ernest Hemingway used to spend a lot of time at the The Floridita hotel in Havana Cuba where he was not a fan of Classic Daquiri so they created a less sweeter version which he loved. I love it too!
