What the hell, sure
little little creatures who can do no wrong
ignoring their laundry list of crimes
[10/19/22]
For a very long time, I had a Dream SMP concept AU for the duo of BBH and skeppy and their story in my notes. I decided not to write to the table, let the world see my madness :)
(English is not my native language, I apologize for mistakes)
DREAM SMP AU
Hell(?) AU
Part 1
Demons are creatures that lived in the Nether even before the rise of the race of piglins, endermens and humanity itself. Demons are immortal beings, they seemed to have existed for ages, there is no concept of time as such in hell. But no matter how powerful and strong this race was, humanity developed faster, in the upper world time decides everything, progress is the key to survival. The day became for people what made them move forward, do everything before your time was up, life is fragile and it is not known which day will be the last. There is no time in hell, there is no hurry, there is no death for demons, few ones dared to resist this race, and those who dared... they don't exist anymore. Or worse, they were cursed like piglins, who even after death cannot rest and continue to exist as zombies. This was their punishment for trying to fight the immortal race. But hell itself is much smaller than one can imagine.
In the world, life goes on as usual, demons shared the world with piglins, skeletons, endermens, ghasts and others, generations changed, there were more inhabitants, and there were fewer places. Immortality has become their curse, they cannot leave hell on a physical level, and eternal life creates many misfortunes. Trying to leave Nether, the demons withered and rot. Hell itself was a source of such powerful power, and after leaving hell, they were deprived of their gift, dying in agony.
But demons can give up their immortality for the opportunity to get out of their native home. No matter how strong and wise they were, their magic wasn't enough to get through the portal. To do this, they need a new "life source", that is, a human inhabitant of the upper world. A mortal who agreed to a deal.
The demon loses his immortality and his heart, thus binding himself to a human, now the heart of a human and a demon are one for two. The demon's heart stops as soon as it loses its immortality, but by binding itself to someone else's, albeit not eternal, life, the demon can get out alive. A person gives some part of himself to a demon, both literally and not. It can be almost anything, a limb, eyes, voice, hearing, soul, feelings. The fact that a person has given a part of himself to a demon seals the contract.
At first, due to the overpopulation of an already small Nether, the demons initially tried to get out to the upper world, some were attracted by new horizons, and others were simply tired of existing in a place that had been explored inside and out. But those who found the "life source" and got out turned out to be too unsuitable for a new, unknown environment, and there were hundreds of such demons, too many. As a result, there was a mass extinction. Demons adapt quickly, but "quickly" for their world, where there is no concept of time, day and night, but not for the upper one, where time plays a key role. They adapted to flying from island to island, but for short distances, the wings were weak for long flights and too thin for the cold, they were used to the eternal heat. They could swim in lava, but these fins were not suitable for water of a different density. For the first time they felt cold and saw water, for the first time they saw a huge ocean, caves and other animals besides those who were in the Nether. In addition, human life is fragile and short, and when their "source" died, the demon died with him.
Those who remained in hell no longer wanted to leave, they had enough space, there was food, there was little competition, plus they understood that those who left most likely died, they did not know how much time had passed, maybe centuries. Bastion remnant, Nether fortress, ancient debris, all of this had previously belonged to demons, everything was built and abandoned by these giants, who were considered the patrons of Nether, the most advanced race. They're gone now. They just disappeared, there were fewer and fewer of them, the demons just disappeared, one by one. It is unknown, maybe many of them went into the portal in desperation of their own free will, allowing themselves to die, or went even deeper into the bowels of hell, in search of something.
Eventually, these creatures disappeared, with only a few bastions and debris deep, deep underground to remind them. Years have passed, maybe centuries, maybe thousands of years, the inhabitants of Nezer have forgotten that such a race existed, and the ruins were taken for granted. Human books mentioning demons have long since rotted away, and the rumors have died down…
It's impossible to find even one demon now...
Or almost?

TYSM for reading to the end🖤
(I created the collage myself, but I found the images on the Internet. I do not want and did not want to infringe any copyrights:( I didn't take any watermark work, I just needed a small collage on the subject so that the post wouldn't be so empty.)
